  4. I reset late last night :-(. I was so tired, falling asleep, should have put the phone down. Lesson learned.

    @person person Great to see how well you're doing! That's ok if you don't say much.

    Can I ask what you've learned so far doing NoFap? Things like when you're most tempted or what strategies you find helpful, lifestyle changes you've made, anything like that? Also are you as new to NoFap as your profile suggests?

    I came to this new place to study.. unfortunately i am ruining myself... I must take this on my hands immediately... a 30 day streak is something i must take at this point... guys i'll be updating my status on each week... will be back... this should not be treated lightly... ill be doomed

    No I'm not quite as new as my profile suggests. I started in 2018 but I wasn't on the forum but I knew about the community. I think some strategies would be like scheduling is a big one for me on days where I have fewer things to do, not getting to overloaded with schedule. I tend to pray more now and ask God for help when I feel tempted and deep breathing. I am a Christian so I was attempting NoFap before I learned about it, but not Uber successfully, this community helped take it more seriously and gave some strategies. I also exercise which I think does have an impact on urges. I find the mental part the most important though because you can get used to working out and even get urges there. Like for cold showers don't work that well for urge resistance and I find more help summoning strong emotions for power urges too. Also grapple hook and gauntlets (day 40). I think I just contradicted my talking not very much lol.

    I'm a Christian too, and definitely my prayer and bible reading becoming less regular the last few months has coincided with falling NoFap success. It's something I'm trying to make more of a priority. Same with meditation - I found this super helpful last year but for some reason this year it just hasn't happened. I think it's because I've been sad and anxious since a breakup and other things, and am afraid to sit with my emotions.

    What are grapple hooks and gauntlets? I mean...I'm imagining two items from movies but I'm guessing that's not what you're talking about ;)

  10. I had a rough 3 days as far as NoFap goes. Relapsed again yesterday.

    Day 0 complete, now day 1.

    Yeah I know what you mean. Tough to get moving. Do you think it relates to your emotional state? (ie anything to escape?) Or other stuff?
    Sometimes a change helps to get me past that super trigger stage, like going camping for a couple days, or being really busy for a few days, or having a project/something that focuses me. Does that give you any ideas?

    phone is a massive factor imo, was failed several time because of it but still i cant overcome it

    nothing emotional... my classes are yet to begin... not quiet sure what to study in advance.. gym closed due to covid situation.. im far away from my home town(for studies), so there is no one around... nothing much to do and no one around.. distracted is what i felt.. last two days was better..busy and had some responsible tasks.... yes keeping myself busy helps,,,I think its better to put me under tension ,, things which need a lot of attention makes me forget these demons..

    Day 48. checking in. Hey @Jo_Fabstronaut, it might help if schedule some things you enjoy, if your stressed or distracted? Could you get lost in those things too? Obviously there are things you have to do, but even something small helps.
     
  20. Well, I'm back to zero myself. Thought I was doing well, but apparently not. Had a wet dream last night and the chaser effect hit me this afternoon already, that and a stressful afternoon. Then went down a bad road. Not making excuses, but trying to see where things went wrong.
