I (25 year addiction) didn't get any improvement at all for at least six months. Still, even if it takes two years, the time is going to pass anyway isn't it? At the end of whatever time it needs, it's better to be virile than impotent. You KNOW you have to give up porn. Just do it. The time will pass and your virility will return. You MUST be patient.

The impotence will give you a chance to focus on other parts of your life. It's a good time to work on career, skills, reading, hobbies etc. The more you can forget about your dick, the better for you.

It really just varies and is dependant on many aspects, best thing first is to not worry yourself and keep calm. It took me 5 years to truly overcome it, but currently I'm in a flatline and it's not even easy now. It's hard to say when it's PIED and when it can become AIED. This happend to me and I didn't overome the anxiety until this year after years and years of trying, but it's not something that is worth going and watching porn over to "see if it's still working" like I did. It just send you further back if you do, be calm, be patient and be gentle with yourself. You have abused your brain unknowingly and now you have to allow it to heal.

 

Imagine you have a leak at home and all your walls get watery, would 5 months without water running through the pipes be enough to fix the leak?

 

In your case 6 months to a year full monk mode could be enough to see recovery or big improvements.
