Porn is the only place where I can explore my unique sexual fetish. It can't be done in real life so it has to be done through porn.

It relieves stress at the end of a difficult day. It helps me fall asleep. It makes me feel like my sexual needs/desires are met. It helps me forget about my loneliness.

It lets me know that I'm not the only person who is attracted to certain things. When I would search for a category I previously thought no one else was into, only to see thousands of results come up, I would feel comfort in knowing that I wasn't alone.

Porn has done a lot for me. But I know that I can't use it in healthy amounts, so I remain firm in my decision to give it up.

At one point, I didn't have such thoughts. All I remember at the beginning was Just this one last time that turned to hundreds of times. I know that it can be used in a good way, but I choose not to use it. I know that I can see certain things that I'd like to see every now and then, but I choose not to see women in that direction. Because I wouldn't want my mother or sisters to be seen that way. So I might like porn, or I might not. I do believe I'm on the right side of things though. I feel much, much better. I’m sleeping better. Exercising daily. Eating properly. Not as anxious or depressed. My wife left the house for 3 hours today which in the past would have been a huge trigger and I didn’t even sweat it. Life is just better overall.

It's like manufactured food with artificial flavoring, or heavy in sugar/salt/fat. Certain things are exaggerated. I think we've been conditioned to crave certain components of it, whether it's the visual stimuli or the intrigue of a story with some element of taboo or chance happening, (the chance happening is also a component of gambling, which can of course be addictive, the randomness probably relates to intermittent reinforcement) but the reality is like those tastes in food the sexual stimuli whether sensory or mental is a part of relationship in human sexual relationship but not the whole thing ... so it goes.
