Hi all, I joined nofap few months ago but have not really been active here. I am 35, married my college sweetheart, have a sweet kid. If you look from bird's eye view then my life would look like a normal one but I have been battling with my own demons since the age of 13 - porn and masturbation.

I got introduced to porn as any other kid would in my early teens and got hooked to it. Initially I did not think much of it but then slowly it became almost a ritual to watch porn and fap every night. Since then till today, the maximum days I have gone without P&M are 20! Few years back I even gathered some courage to share this with my wife but couldn't really do that. Always thought that I would be able to overcome this, no big deal but it has literally become permanent part of my life.

From outside , I always try to show a happy picture but from within, I am facing a lot of issues on self-esteem and discipline front. I just cant stop myself from watching FB and Insta feeds of 'women', feeling aroused among female counterparts at work. This really messes up my sex life as well at home. Fear of failure and fear of rejection are at all time high. I have decided, enough is enough! Even though I have failed many times to eliminate this from my life, I am going to start once more. This time, hopefully, support of this community, of all wonderful fapstronauts here, would keep me focused on my goal and help me achieve the life I have only daydreamed till now.

    Cheers!

So Day 1 yesterday, and it went successfully! First thing first - woke up early, some body stretching workout, a quick bath and immediately started my office work even before checking my mobile for any notifications or social media. Spent almost 7 hours working on office project with breaks for only lunch and snack. Feeling of accomplishing something is just too good! I know it's just 1 day and I need to maintain this momentum but nevertheless felt good about myself in long time. Of course, it was not as easy as typing here. i had to fight my instincts throughout the day. The trick which worked for me - whenever I felt the urge to go online or surf social media or any other such thought, I took 3 very deep breaths, got up from my place and went into the drawing room where my family was sitting. I think at least for starters, I should not be alone in the room whenever such instinct occurs. Overall a happy feeling. Hoping this continues.

    Cheers!

Hi fellas! Sorry couldn't update here in last few days, crazy week. But yeah, successfully completed a week of nofap! Got my self busy in office work as well as house chores. I am successfully able to ignore the thought of watching porn or fapping but I am not able to stop myself from sexualising women either on screen or street. I try my best to move away from that thought but it's really difficult. For next week, my only goal is to eliminate this from my mind. I have realised that I am not able to maintain eye contact for very long, especially with opposite sex. Reasons could be multifold apart from PM, trying to read more on it. In other areas, I was able to bring my office work on track and continued with some physical workouts. So far so good.
