    From Wikipedia:
Depersonalization-derealization disorder (DPDR, DPD)[3][4] is a mental disorder in which the person has persistent or recurrent feelings of depersonalization or derealization. Depersonalization is described as feeling disconnected or detached from one's self. Individuals may report feeling as if they are an outside observer of their own thoughts or body, and often report feeling a loss of control over their thoughts or actions.[5] Derealization is described as detachment from one's surroundings. Individuals experiencing derealization may report perceiving the world around them as foggy, dreamlike/surreal, or visually distorted.[5]

Pretty much yes, but it gets easier with time.

So it's a fairly recent thing then. Any idea what causes it to happen? Also, dont feel like you need to answer my questions if you dont want to, I just find this sort of stuff interesting.

I have episodes that are a bit like that. The world seems somehow distant, as in watching a low quality video of the past.

Yes, but as a symptom of another disorder... Borderline Personality Disorder Symptoms (psychcentral.com)

In this page you will notice 9 diagnostic bullet points. The last of these includes: severe dissociative symptoms.

Who diagnosed you with this disorder and when was that?

You are welcome mate. :) I live in England where it is easy to get a referral to see a psychiatrist to diagnose you. I hope you can arrange one. It is worth considering that this might be part of an overarching disorder, as it is in my case i.e. BPD.

I don't live in England, but thanks anyway

I'm looking forwards to see one in the future. But the environment where I live is not helping at all. My plan is while I'm studying I will try to get a part time job or something to pay for a psychiatrist.

Yes I totally relate to that, I think I'm in the bad days now.

My diet has some serious issue tho, pretty sure that related to it.

  20. Sad to hear that
    I hope you getting better,
    You will.
    Im not a doctor,
But artificial sugar and white sugar can trigger depression
If you can eat them less the healing process will work easier,
I suggest you to seasonal fruits as much as like
Or complete fruit diet. The same diet Jesus used to have..(i read that in an old book)
And its been said that regenerate the whole body and soul to its pure state.
