Great point bro. I think these two things are related because as a Muslim I believe that all people have the natural inclination to know and worship God BUT some people replace the truth(God) with their own desires and fetishes ie lusting at women and seeking pleasure unlawfully. And when that happens it makes people very depressed and sad and for a lot of people they always feel anxious and they can hardly find any peace in their heart. After all this, some people just can’t deal with reality so they try to run from their actual lives and start drinking and taking drugs just so they can forget their problems. The better thing to do is to deal with your problems the right way and seek help from professionals. Hope that gives an insight. I pray that everyone gets rid of their addictions in their own pace.

 

what i mean by that bro is basically open yourself up for knowledge and really learn from people that you trust. For example if you are trying to quit any addiction learn how to do it from people who have gone through it.
