Today in the morning , i experience a strong urge and luckily i survived this time . When i observe the root cause of this type of strong urge , i always find that it is related to my past life with my ex girlfriend .
The time we spend comes in my mind again and again and it become the cause for my trigger .
How i can stop this ?

Please suggest ...

When i am not able to manage or get help anywhere then i decide to come back on this platform ...

Thanks @artifact! Just over a week until I hit five months. This is going to be a tough week ahead for me, with a big life transition so I’m glad to be so close to another milestone to keep me motivated to stay clean during it. I’m also doing a much better job these days asking for help and relying on the people close to me instead of shutting them out and self medicating. Feels a thousand times better.

The last few weeks have been good. But this morning is really difficult with urges like crazy. I'm finding it a challenge to focus.

 

Just realised, 181 days. Wow!

I have only one small suggestion: when you realise your thoughts are going where you don't want them to go, you need to shut them down immediately. Do something else, go for a short walk, call someone, run errands... anything you can think of. It's way easier to do this straight away, rather than after an hour of ruminating.

Happy to report a successful day yesterday. I feel like I'm trying to build something this time, a life that does not need to be sustained by porn. Trying to improve life in order to quit porn instead of trying to quit porn in order to improve life if that makes sense.
