    Hello Dog,

I figure that anxiety associated with the recognition of a need to start NoFap can indeed raise BP for a while. I think once you are comfortable with the improvements in your body after a while that it will come back down.

Are you taking medication for BP? In other words, is this increase related in any way?

Thank you for responding. No BP meds at this point. Personal BP checks at home indicated elevation. Went to dr for assessment and possible scripts. BP when checked there was just fine. He wants to check in future before prescribing. I am enjoying what seems to be increased mental function. Still issues with waking at 2am. Hopefully this will resolve soon.

I have higher bp since 16 years old, in recent years peaks reach 155/80. Now on no PMO (10 days streak now) I noticed that bp dropped to normal first 5 days, but now again it reaches 140/80. I still hope that no PMO will help me with high bp in a longer period of time

Let’s revive this thread. I have noticed the same thing. I’m 31 and weigh 180 and am moderately active along with strength training. Not a clean diet but not real bad.
My levels have also reached the 140 range. And I can feel it happens when my stress anxiety is high, which I never really had a problem with before nofap.

it has fluctuated back down to 124/79 and 140/186. Never been told anything about high blood pressure before.

So glad I found this as the last 7 days of abstinence have been scary, the only reason I came across this post was due to me googling "does porn help with hypertension" as I was desperate for some outlet to fix me, as I didn't know what the hell was going on with my panic attks/BP. You guys are true gentlemen, as I'm 32 and pmo for the last 16 yrs and had a lot of off and on reboot episodes but not like this. These withdrawals are scaring the fck outta me as I'm a healthy individual that's never suffered heart issues nor panic attacks, however depression, stress and working from home the last 4yrs while being a stoned sloth all day made me think my blood pressure/panic attk issues were from my mind getting the better of me and being totally lazy. However all these never before experienced panic attacks and simple things like playing the new call of duty or drinking a mtn dew or weed never triggered my bp to spike and drop to the point of fainting daily. So I went to the ER got an ekg and heart xrays with blood work and it all says I'm fine. So you guys are right this abstinence is hitting some of us hard. I really thought I've ruined myself mentally by depression and laziness/porn with 6hrs of sleep daily on the regular. But now I know its porn having her last go at me before freedom. God bless you all and good luck gentlemen. However, at this time in life unemployed and going through this difficult time in life I dont think its a good time for me to have these issues so I will give in for a bit more to PMO until I'm at a spot in my life to quit and have insurance on the ready just incase as I do not have an option for a doctor at this time.

I write that last part in shame as I really have no urge to watch it but if its gonna give me time to find a job and take my panic attacks and heart palpitations away I'll take it. Then before starting my reboot again I'll hit the gym a few wks before that way the matters wont be as harsh.

hey man welcome. I’m sorry to hear of your issues, that so many of us are going through. How long have you been on PMO? I could handle most of the withdrawls, the worst for me is stress and anxiety. I have never really had trouble with either much until nofap. Depression sure, lack of energy and fatigue, all the PMO nasty symptoms, but since abstaining what makes me relapse most often would be stress and anxiety which is often what makes my BP go up.

I wish I could find a better way to cope. With the stress and anxiety mainly. I do all the “right” things often. Decent diet, exercise, pray and try to get more sleep. I take some vitamins and herbs also.

As a joke tho you mentioned the new modern warfare. The multiplayer on there probably could help raise our blood pressure on its own for sure lol.

Was feeling stressed today and took my BP reading it was 151/90. I sat and took it a few more times and after 5 minutes or so it went back down to 126/78. Everyone that started earlier in this thread, how is your readings now compared to then??

I have relapsed multiple times at around week 3 and everytime the day after I'm much more anxious and my blood pressure increases to around 125-130/80-86, my normal BP is around 110 over 70. The blood pressure stabilizes after about 3-4 days and after that there is about a week with brain fog and insomnia (I can't concentrate and feel drained,it's like someone is controlling me,can't explain),after this week then it comes cravings and becomes worse to the point of relapse. So I can say BP going up is a combination of withdrawal and increased sensitivity to stress. Also this first days of withdrawal my blood sugar is lower and constantly craving sugar.

  11. I have high BP since I was 20. PMO since i was a teenager although I have normal weight and do sports etc.. Never thought about a connection but I just read this thread and I'm pretty sure now my high BP is because of PMO. I wonder how it will change during abstinence now. I will track that.

Good to hear from you Stack. Blood pressure yesterday was 105/63. (Granted, that IS with 10 mg of Benazepril per day, so I get a little help there) Years ago I was 150's/100's. Blood sugar is 109. HOWEVER, my insulin level is super low. This means that my body NATURALLY wants a blood sugar at about that level. So my "Homa IR" is super low. Almost perfect.

I credit the COMBINATION of Intermittent fasting, Keto eating AND ejaculation control.

I am NOT all that good at any of these three. But if I just do a decent job with ALL three, it has an incredibly powerful effect.

    How are you doing?

@Davidphd1866 What do you eat for keto daily ??? I just eat eggs with sausages in the evening, in the morning I'll just have an avocado ... and fast till evening time after work.

How is nofap going for you ? My record has been 45 days. I noticed that even after doing 45 days hard mode, if you relapse to watching P, it's like totally back to square 1. P is very addictive like a drug. It leaves your brain full of those images that you watched. However, Nofap has become easier now .. completing 30 days isn't a huge challenge like it used to be. I'm really going to do my best on this one and last longer

Is your blood sugar 109 in the morning or is it after eating ?

I have another quick question, I started Keto like 6 days ago on June 1st along and with my current nofap streak. When I started my blood sugar was 350, that was 6 days ago. Now it's 220 after eating and between 200 and 210 in the morning after waking up. The thing is that my carbs are very mininal and my keto diet is very strict. A few months ago though, after starting the keto diet, my blood sugar would get under 100 after like 4 or 5 days following keto strictly with minimal carbs. Now I am on my 7th day and my bloood sugar is still in the 200s. However, I had a big relapse and I binged hard for two days. I am wondering if that's not the result of that. I checked my ketones and they're high, which means I am in ketosis. Does it sometimes take longer than 6 days for the blood sugar to go under 100 while on the keto diet ?? I'm really hoping it will be under the 100 mark by the 2nd week. It used to only take 5 days for blood sugar to get under 100 a few months ago. But like I said, I relapsed badly and hard and restarted all over again on June 1st.

How long does it take for your blood sugars to get under 100 after following a keto diet for you??

I only measure my blood sugar and A1C at the doctor, so can't say how quickly keto has helped. BUT, I will say that all of us will have varying degrees of insulin resistance. So the key is consistency. Blood sugar will go down to wherever it wants to go.....IF you let it.

I am not so strict on Keto. I actually focus more on the fasting. It's easier for me to eat "nothing" than to eat the "right thing".

Remember your liver and muscles store most of your sugar. So if you want blood sugar to go down, you gotta exercise too.

Sorry for quick note, but I didn't want to ignore your note.

Hello guys, I am back to this Nofap forum after being unavailable for almost 2 years.
I even don't remember when did I last time watch porn or masturbated but it's maybe around 1year since I did PMO last time.
I have successfully conquered my addiction.
Working as Software Developer in a MNC.
I only purpose that I returned here is because so that I can help other people how I successfully overcame PMO.
    All queries welcome.
