Fighting to stop masturbation

I can tell you right now, I've been sober from porn for over 6 months, and during this time, I've also tried abstaining from Masturbation with my longest streak being 30 days and my average streak being about a week and a half / 10 days or so.
It's not easy. At all. It's a little different than porn in the sense you don't get quite as addicted to it (imo), but there's no way to outrun it. Your privates are always with you. You can't close the laptop or turn off your phone. In a way, fighting Masturbation is harder than fighting porn for those reasons.
I'm a Christian as well and really struggle with my relationship with God. All I can really tell you is don't give up.
Try to stay bus, keep yourself around others. If you have a lot of alone time or find yourself getting bored, put your mind to work and do something productive. Thoughts and temptations creeping in? Don't give any place to those thoughts, think about something else. Pick up your bible.
I don't have any easy answers. I'm still struggling with this myself. For reference, I'm 25 years old.
