I had a full pmo relapse yesterday which is so annoying because I was doing so well.
I told my girlfriend about it and we both agree that having blocking and tracking software on all my devices is the best way to go.
We are looking for something that obviously blocks all p searches. But we also want something that tracks all internet searches, the reason being that my relapse was caused by searching for bikino photos and then it escalated.
So she needs to be able to see my search history so that I remain accountable.

Despite being new here, I've been looking for the "perfect" blocking software - both on my smartphone and my PC - for years. Spoiler: there is none, everything can be circumvented somehow...

That being said, I recently stumbled across "Kaspersky Safe Kids" and am setting it up now (some fine tuning necessary to not overblock). If only your girlfriend has access to the account (and the backup e-mail-adress) and you install the app on all your devices, this could work pretty well with the right set-up. Others have recommended "Pluckeye", haven't tried that one though.

  3. Covenant Eyes is almost perfect on Android and can add unlimited devices. Don't know about its performance on iphone but I assume it's good. It sends out weekly reports and doesn't just block website but actually takes screenshots of your phone/computer whenever it detects something nsfw. And it's very good at detecting.

That said, many on here will say that blocking software isn't the total solution or even the main solution. You can find an unprotected device anywhere if you tried. And when you do, it will be a major relapse if all you're doing is holding back your urges like a dam ready to break.

What's better is improving ALL OTHER areas of your life and relationships, where you talk openly about your emotions, real life, dreams, and challenges. You channel that energy into crap that really matters. Once you have a life mission, and incredible habits in place, PMO will be a bad dream you'll never want to go back to, filters or no filters.

Filters and screen monitoring can be part of the solution, but if you don't have the other 90% part, you're just looking for quick fix to your problems, which is exactly what PMO was originally for you, and it won't help you progress in real growth.

I second this blockers should only be used as a tool. They could help you from PMOing on autopilot for instance.

if you are using android then family limk is the best there is no way you can watch p. just block all sites and when you want visit a site you need permission of ur gf. u cant even reset your mobile cause its asks for parent password after reseting.

there is a blocker - family link on phone, both on android and ios. there is no way , i have not watched p since 3 months on phone. on computer yes you cant block though cause u can reset your computer , what i do is create a child account and allow only certain websites and give away the admin password to someone . There is no way you can watch , but you can easily reset(thats what i have been doing since 3 months lol).but you can keep some important stuff like photos or bank acc password , so your brain gets tricked and think your important stuff is not worth it for a fap

As pointed out already there is no perfect software for this problem. But I think the key is to attack the problem from multiple points. I use the "cold turkey" application and website blocker as well as well as the "clean browsing" free DNS on my computers. In cold turkey I can block specific search requests as well as many domains. The DNS service enforces SafeSearch on search engines and also blocks adult domains.
Having multiple blockers is usefull because it means you would have to figure out how to unlock those one after another. In this time you can catch yourself.
But this is still not perfect, I recently encountered a small problem with my blocking that made me relapse.

Thanks @vasdeferens for this input, and the recognition that there are ways around it.

I just setup the cleanbrowsing.org DNS changes on both the iPhone (via their app) and on my Windows 10 machine (using their easy instructions at the command line).

Fully acknowledge that it is easy enough to turn back, but a great guardrail to avoid an inadvertent trigger.

I dont know how this works on apple devices, but I also have an app blocker wchich prevents me from acessing the clean browsing app and therefore from changing settings. The vpn connection is set to always on, so i cant disconnect from it.

None are perfect, but Cold Turkey blocker is a solid piece of software. You can block any website or any app on your computer. Its a one time payment of 15 or 20 bucks for the full version, which is well worth it imo. In addition to that, downloading browser extensions to block porn and also downloading "public fox" or its google chrome equivalent to inhibit the ability to modify extensions has made accessing porn on my computer more difficult. Just keep in mind that there is always a way around. The point of blockers is just to make it more difficult to access, and increase your chances to prevent the act from happening. Best of luck.

  13. I’m not trying to sound mean but the best software for blocking porn is called self discipline. Just my personal opinion someday the training wheels have to come off. Your gonna have to get to a point eventually where you can be left alone and trust yourself enough not to give in to the urges. This is something that sticks with you for the rest of your life. You can’t rely on porn blockers forever.

I've been using Covenant Eyes with success. It forces you to find accountability partners who also have Covenant Eyes so that whatever you are looking at your AP sees. I have it on an iPhone and it works great. Having to pay for it adds motivation.

If anyone reading this has or gets Covenant Eyes and is looking for an AP, reach out.

Here's what I did that helped me. Straight-up blocks didn't work for me. I have too many virtual machines/other devices I can jump to. What did work was installing leechblock, but not blocking sites. I also use https://spinbackup.com/products/office-365-backup/outlook-recovery/ for cyberattack protection and for backups. Excellent service for safe internet browsing.

I tried using Covenant Eyes and I liked it, I was satisfied. The program is very easy to use and practically does not require any action from the user.

Yeah I've used all the blockers, ALL of them can be circumvented. Then if a timer or something runs out you will search for lorn the minute your phone or PC is 'free' again. I have Android but on iOS on my iPad, you can make the settings so you can't search porn as long as you get your partner or friend to hold on to the password and not give it to you. That's the only one that works. Having said that, any addict, will be creative to circumvent it. This is an addiction worse than drugs. We need to get over it and not watch porn but instead work towards getting real women.
