8 years trapped

    HEY all , I'm 26 i have been trapped into PMO for over 8 years i have noticed this addiction 5 years and slowly start fighting for 8 years until now I'm on weekly basis of PMO , my mind tells me that PMO ruined my life (socially, physically, mentally, and more ) , reasons for PMO (stress, avoid responsibilities,sad,tired ,angry,avoiding paid sex), However i tried many times to stop this but every time i stop 2 to 3 days i break my goal and do PM then O maybe 3 time at once , i want a way out please got married recently 1 year ago thought i would stop but PMO is evil :( . i don't know what else to say , one funny thing sometimes i don't realise my self until i finish PMO seriously it took me i lost my mind can't think of anything until I finish , by the way i just found out about NoFap 3 days ago while watching inspiring videos on Tedx

    Welcome @Steven01.

    It took a lot of courage to admit you have a problem. You're doing the right thing.

    I think not being able to think about anything until you get your fix is very common. When you get in to this state is there anything you can easily do that will help snap you out of it, even if only briefly?

    Welcome! I'm glad you're here.

    This isn't an easy thing, overcoming PMO. But you can do it. There are a lot of tools, a lot of wisdom, here. Let folks know if they can help you (including me).

    THANK YOU I'm visiting this websites until now have not used any tools but reading peoples stories have affected me and i felt like I'm not alone anymore people in all over the world share the same suffer i wish this PMO disappear and the p industry destroyed . it affected all the people i wish if i could live without computer or internet or tv or any media , i know it depends on me but man this life is hard as you don't know the addiction until its controls you
    people addiction is a big concern and i think strategies will be similar for every addiction
    things i wish i could change
    movies addiction replaced with documentary
    PMO addiction replaced with sports
    fb replaced with an online bussiness
    and many things

    If you need cautionary tales I'll give you mine. After over thirty years addicted. I have ended up broke, possibly getting a divorce and facing time in jail for illegal porn. I didn't have a problem. I would leave myself two or three hours to sleep before work. I didn't have a problem. I would cry at times and say I'm never doing that again. I didn't have a problem. I found illegal porn of all kinds and didn't stop. Let me tell you. Stay on this ride and it will twist you into someone you don't recognize.

    Your words means a lot to me thank you for sharing you are 100% right Porn won't satisfy you because every time you want something different and new then you start to go some dark places that we are not suppose to go then i heard in some documentaries that watching porn make the person more violent as we can't perform what we see so we got depressed and become angry I'm not sure if i express what i mean in the right words but i hope my meaning is clear to you

    I've had the addiction since my late teens and now over 15 years later I'm trying my best... I will say worst moment of my life was my wife telling me I broke her heart with tears in her eyes. She stayed with me thank god.... Made me stop for a little while then let myself go right back... I'm now rebooting after a 70 day period with no pmo. Fell off the horse 2 days ago but got back on... And would you believe it it was a scene from freaking cadyshack that started me thinking about pmo... Movies, TV shows, even video games I have learned I have to be very careful what I watch or it sets me off like a match with gas around...
