Sleep deprivation and unexpected free time led to a reset today. Thinking back over the past month, whenever I'm sleepy I'm prone to a reset, so I'm going to watch myself a little closer on those days.

A reminder to my future self: It's not as fun as you remember. It was never as fun as you remember. Your brain is tricking you.

  6. @emanuel_free - As of today you have made it 1 year without P and M!!! You are the second-ever recipient of the group's One Year "Takin' Care of Business" Briefcase! >>> :emoji_briefcase: <<< It has been a joy to watch your progress over the last couple of years. We wish you continued success in your recovery! :emoji_cartwheel::emoji_guitar::emoji_juggling::emoji_lifter:

  7. Yes, that will be ok. Welcome to the group! Please read the rules at the beginning of the thread.

  8. If you would like to be listed in our member ranking, please change your counter so it says No P or M instead of just P and I will add you. (Having "No Porn" as your counter goal implies that you are only trying to give up P but not M.)

  11. Fell this weekend despite my best intentions. Sometimes it seems I am two different people living in the same body. :( I'm not giving up though.

@Low Tide High Tide - congratulations on reaching 60 days today! You have received the 60 Day Heavy Lifter Award! :emoji_lifter: Thanks for being part of the group.

@Fantastic life - You have been added to the member ranking. You are now an official group member! :emoji_cocktail:

  12. Checking in....streak is strong

I've realised that I have replaced my addiction to looking at porn with one of edging aka just masturbating without ejaculating. I mean I don't do it for hours a day, usually just a few mins but I think it's the addictive side of my brain wants that feeling of arousal and thinking of sex with women and it's a comfort especially when I'm feeling upset and low. Anyway I've realised it's not good for me so has anyone got any advice on how to tackle it?

    Thanks brothers

When I have issues I tend to notice the problem wasn't when I fapped it was much earlier. Also when I'm trying to stop PM without changing who I am it doesn't work.

There are no half measures. No more "funny" radio shows on the way to work that try to be arousing. Never watching shows that are turn ons. Etc...

I find myself wanting to rid myself of PM without changing. That's not going to happen... And that's not a bad thing. This journey will require lots but I feel the progress I've already made is worth it.

  16. Checking in, delighted to be on 61 days. Last week was a big test for me. I often get a few days in a row where I feel really low/useless/incompetent, and it can be really hard to stay PM-free at these times. But I made it out the other side without relapsing, this time.

Are you me?? I really relate to this.
61 days is a monumental achievement and reading this has inspired me to keep going today.
