Because I am a giant chicken! Sorry, I don’t know why I did that, only that I panicked about it not being good enough.

 

I felt the same way and that’s literally the only reason I pushed myself to post. I don’t ever participate in off topic discussions but I wanted to get over that unnecessary self-doubt/fear

 

Nope, I won't like this post. I want the poem back!

 

Well, I did not make a record of it other than here. So unless someone got an email notification, it is gone. But if you like, I will try and make another which I will leave up.

 

If you permit me to PM you just for once I will send you your poem.

It seems to be busy,
Up there in her head
Ideas come and go,
Dreams to be fed.

But what will she write of,
How can she say;
All these ideas
Are not here to stay.

The all have their moment,
But once they are out
The doubt and the questions
Clamour and shout -

This poem is just rubbish!
It’s no good to read!
And these words together -
They make my eyes bleed!

Who really cares
what goes on in your head?
‘Cause one day like everyone,
you will be dead.
And all of the thoughts,
That ever you had
Are lost and just dust
Isn’t that sad?

These few words escape,
You’re reading them now
History making,
And so I will bow.

The first was too cringy,
And likely this, too

 

Don't do this to yourself.
You are as good as you believe you are.
You are your only judge.
Just let yourself turn your emotions into words.

PS.: Poem number 1 was more bold. You decided to kill it. Wrong decision.
But then... who am I to judge?

 

You can judge, everyone has their own liking

But it’s true, this facetious effort is low risk, because I’ve already mocked myself.

This thread is like therapy. Maybe I will never leave

 

The King can heal in an instant what Time cannot
Seek Him inside and truly open the heart.

I loved your poem as well, which is why it inspired me to write. You captured what the French have a phrase for (that I might be misinterpreting and misspelling though )

Something in German

Ein fremdes Gesetz im eigenen Land, das sperrte ihn ein, Fritz war verbannt.

Kein Licht, kein Freud und auch kein Freund, sie konnten nicht rein er konnte nicht raus.

Getrieben vom Instinkt, alle Mauern wurden dicker, alle Wärme verging, Fritz war verloren, doch noch leicht er ring.

Kein Licht, kein Freud und auch kein Freund, keiner war da, er wollte nicht raus.

Keine Hoffnung und schon gar kein Kampf, Fritz gab auf, wand sich zum Totentanz, der Galgen er stand.

Kein Licht, kein Freud und auch kein Freund, keiner dort stand, als Fritz wurd gehang.
