    So, I've been doing my research about nofap and I stumbled upon this article called
    'How often should a man ejaculate' and I ran across those lines;

    Are there any benefits tied to ejaculation?
    "There isn’t any research that clearly ties ejaculation to any specific benefits.
    But what about arousal? That’s a whole different story.
    Arousal is linked intimately to elevations in oxytocin and dopamine."


    Now,
    oxytocin is associated with positive emotions, comfort in social and intimate environments, and reduced stress
    and Dopamine is also associated with positive emotions and even increased motivation.

    What are your thoughts?

    I'm free of porn. I went 4 months without MO. After about 4 months I MO without porn and have done so several times at about 2 to 3 week intervals. One O once in a while is working for me. It reduces physical discomfort and helps get my mind off of sex. It also causes lethargy and lack of motivation for a day or two afterwards but it is a price I'm willing to pay. I've noticed no difference in happiness or negative repercussions on intimacy level with my girlfriend but there is a downside.

    I've wondered about this, too.

    In my experience, if I MO about once a week w/out P, it helps me re-stabilize and not become overwhelmed by my libido.

    However, I still wonder if I'm setting myself up for failure long-term. I started PMO when I was 12 years old. 90-day hard-mod reboot last year. What does 'normal' look like now, if my partner is unavailable for long stretches at a time?

    During puberty I was aroused constantly. I was also extremely anxious and depressed, and stayed in my room all day playing Counter-Strike.
    If oxytocin is indeed "associated with positive emotions, comfort in social and intimate environments, and reduced stress", and Dopamine is "associated with positive emotions and even increased motivation" - something doesn't add up.

    I tried mastrabation in moderation 2 months ago it destroyed my life I started watching porn and doing that stuff at least now I'm bored with pmo all of them and now I'm dramatize do the point I don't want I wife or girlfriend.

    I dont think im addicted to porn, im addicted to dopamine rush. Its no different then when i used to abuse drugs. Is dopamine good or bad? Both. Depending on the person. Is alcohol good or bad? If say good....in moderation. But moderation is challenging for some. Myself included

    Moderate use of MO is not unhealthy by default. The problem is that if you allow it, even after a long streak, slowly you'll start to slip back into the hole again. First a bit of M then slowly MO once in a while and before you know it you'll be PMOing daily again. This happens to me even after many long streaks.
