I don’t know my exact day count but its over 90 days but I haven’t passed 6 months.

I’m Just wanting to tell my story because even though I don’t have super powers or haven’t even had post-nofap sex yet, hell, I haven’t even been on a date yet but nofap has helped my professional life so much.

I’m not particularly passionate about my career but I work hard. Whenever I used to get stressed out I would turn to my dopamine. I wouldn’t ever face the problem head on. I would let problems overwhelm me, get stressed out, go home & try to forget about it with repetitive masturbation. I’d show up to work the next day totally unprepared. Most days I’d be Going in thinking “aw screw it”, I’ll handle it but did such a shitty job.

Now that I don’t have my release I’m thinking so much more clearer and facing problems head on with such less stress.

However, this didn’t come over night because at the 80-90 day range I was getting severe headaches and going through very strong emotions & thoughts that I’ve never felt before. I’m a typical rugged male as my sisters would probably say I have no emotions.

I can remember one night I had an anxiety attack thinking about how Am I even competent at my job. Do people even like me? Do all the clients think I’m an idiot ?? Do my parents think I’m a failure ?? Are people just friends with me cause they feel sorry for me ?? Thinking about women that didn’t like me, thinking about exes, thinking about my daughter and how much we’ve grown apart.. it was really bad.

there was a 3 week span where I had to take 3 or 4 Advil’s daily so my headaches would go away.

That phase has passed but I’m much more comfortable at work.

I can look people in the eyes while I speak to them.

Im no longer socially hindered by my shame & feel like I’m returning to my care free class clowning self again.

Anyways, I started nofap cause my dick stopped working but the benefits have helped many things and life is once again livable.

Yes to all of these. I don't know how it works but somehow one has more confidence and ease when talking not only to women but people when you get a little NoFap time behing you.

How many times have you tried to have a work conversation and the page is open with the girls on it? You're not concentrating...

    So - good on yer!

You need will power made of steel.
I’m not saying this braggingly but there’s not much more to it than having your own willingness to change.
    I’ve tried countless times.
    5 days here
    3 days here
    2 days there
    5 days here

It took some extreme things that happened to me which caused me to rethink my life and acknowledge I actually have a serious problem. I haven’t turned back.

For me it was the little everyday things:
Deleting all my saved porn and Unfollowed all sexualized pages on social media.
Continued to exercise, started reading again.

I think some people get overwhelmed because they try to change too much. Start with all the little things.

I want to say that NoFap “gave energy back into my life” but in reality, by not wasting my time and semen we’re really retaining the energy We’ve always had.

Excellent man, one of my main goals is also to direct all this potential in my financial success. And I can relate with the headaches, since wednesday I had a headache and my limbs were shaking all day long for no apparent reason, at night I felt like crying a few times, very bad day. Good to know the headaches are normal and related to this and not some other dangerous thing

    Thanks.
yeah, Our brains are no longer receiving those daily multiple dopamine hits.

I felt that way as well when I was having my anxiety attacks. I had maybe 3 intense nights where I Felt like giving up on everything.

    It’s amazing.

Now, I can concentrate better at work and have more confidence in my abilities but My time wasted watching porn at night has just translated to watching more sports highlights or youtube rabbit holes. Good thing is I’m no longer wasting time during the day though.

It’s been a while and I’m still going strong.
I had sex for the first time since starting NoFap a couple of weeks ago. The interaction wasn’t the best and I was intoxicated but the great news is that I did not get PIED.
In the past I would never dare to attempt sex under the influence.
I’ve noticed every now and then I’ve been getting the morning wood which I haven’t been getting for years.
Sorry for rambling on. Have a great night everyone .

That is awesome! I remember my first week getting laid after I rebooted. I was walking on sunshine.

Problem is - it was hard to maintain (no pun intended). I relapsed, rebooted again, relapsed again, and now I've been trying for a third rewire for about two and a half years (with limited success, sadly). So hear my cries from down here in the miserable pit that is day 1: IT'S HELL! BE GRATEFUL EVERYDAY! NEVER LOOK BACK! (hope this helps)

I think a lot of it is your head. If you keep worrying about not being able to maintain a boner then you won’t be able to.
In my head I was not worried about the boner and thinking about sex which then it just came naturally.

  11. A lot of this is familiar to me. Many thanks for your post!

  12. I have been in the similar situation for too many years. Even today, my situation at work has not improved as it should be. But, I am not going into PMO again. I will slowly bring the required changes to my outlook on my career.
I am really happy for you for your efforts in making your situation better, with the help of Nofap and your own determination. :) Keep it up!

It’s a massive fight every day, every hour.

The best part about NoFap is that it’s given my confidence level as a Man a boost. Like I said earlier I don’t have super powers but it’s the little things that make life better.

In social situations I would always never talk to men that were more “successful” than I.

I would always feel less of a person and be Very awkward. When I speak I don’t have any shame and can actually take something away from conversations.

The overall quality of my friendships has gotten better and the conversations are more meaningful.

I am still dealing with a few things but working though them and still needing to make adjustments in my life . Like I said , it’s a daily fight!!
