  3. It takes away the pains of life, numbs me. It's my distraction, my nicotine, its the delicious looking Big Mac that I know for sure is not good for me.

From what I can tell it appears that jacking off to porn occasionally causes next to no problems except healing from porn induced erectile dysfunction.

Actually I have confidence. I can approach a woman I find attractive on the streets and give her a compliment. The problem is women in my area are just plain awful. They all think they are high class and deserve only the best of man!

Maybe it's only the type of women you're interested in that are like that? Because no way all women are like that.

Where I live, ALL women are like that. I've given up hope finding a relationship here.

Yeah I'm not completely denying that. But I mean how many unattractive guys do you see with smoking hot women? They must be doing something right.

I do believe confidence goes a long way.

I also seen that and I have shown alot confidence towards women, yet they still reject me. I guess I'm simply cursed to walk this world alone.

Look at rejection the same way as a salesman when they don't make a sale.

What does a salesman do when they don't make a sale? They don't think anything of it when they get rejected, and they just move onto somebody else to try make another sale. This is what you should do when you get rejected by a woman. Don't think anything of it when you get rejected, and just try your luck with another woman.

Can you imagine if every salesman just gave up every time they didn't make a sale? Would they ever make a sale if they did this? It's the same with women, if you give up just because you got rejected, will you ever get a woman?

You know a lot of those guys with women get rejected constantly, but they think nothing of it, and keep trying until they get what they want. That's how they always have a woman.

A problem a lot of guys have is they're basically terrified of rejection. Where as a lot of the guys that succeed with women don't care about rejection, and just keep trying until they get what they want.

Thanks for your input and advice. But after so many rejections I am beginning to feel very disheartened and thinking a any sane person would just tell me to stop bothering women and let it be. But my pain of loneliness and my desire is very strong so I will still going nonetheless, but at this point I am more acting with a smile and pretending I can have her but I know I'll get shot down like always.

Can you imagine me being a 60 year old man still trying to approach women! There really comes a moment in your life when you need to give up.

The question in the title assumes liking porn now. It's sort of fair but mostly not.

Sexual stimuli (say 5% is a vaguely triggering mural a quarter mile away and 92% is a sexually attractive person naked walking into the room and grabbing...) have physical effects on my body. I am confident that effect is higher than for other people, higher than the average and by a lot. A really great example I heard from a sex addict who hasn't acted out in a long time was "I used clothing catalogs as pornography. Joe schmoe does not get as excited about the same pictures as I did. He needs something a little more concrete :)". There's millions of years of evolution and then there's me :).

I didn't read all the replies but I'm guessing a lot of people have also spoken to why they DON'T like pornography.

I try to back up and ask "where am I coming from?". For instance of I'm about to ask a question I often remember to first ask myself "why am I asking that?" It if I notice myself arguing with someone I get a lot out of looking at what my ego gets from the process of arguing and debating.
