Hey. Psyché is kinda complicated think. But from my perspective:
There are days and even month, when I can go without any single thought about it. But then it somehow get reminded to me and I struggle a lot.
It probably never disappear for good. You just can't forget it completely. But it might become blurred memory without any power.
You can reshape your mind with deciding to what you give your attention. If you constantly think about anything, you can't get rid off it even if you manage to have 5 years streak. But if you occupy your mind with something healthy, those fetishes fade away and become only old bad memory.
