    Why? Some explanation, please?

  2. P/s: Learn to understand your enemy and yourself, you will win.

I can’t give you a full explanation, but these brief terms plus sentences below may give you a basic understanding of how porn addiction works (I would certainly understand or not grasp ideas completely true, so please feel free to fix/judge me, these understanding below are what I have learnt for over 3 years of NF):

    - Human Nature: as men we like sex, but sex is not really necessary to maintain our life, through millennia, our brain and our will still have a strong feeling to “make babies”, to create a better future generation, that’s also a reason why women love chasing men make them feel safe, comfortable, trusted and loved. As men, we need to preserve that energy (semen retention) to CREATE wonderful things and values, reach to a higher level of spirituality and other life aspects.

But now in modern society, there’s a big problem rising: Pornography

welcome guests to The Fantasy World

    The Fantasy World

    - Pornography: This shit meet men’s needs without enabling them to really improve themselves to find a women (STILL, you shouldn’t improve yourself to just find a hot woman, but for yourself).

+ Novelty: Look! Now guys are completely hooked on browsing through numerous women, as our human nature (well, I don’t want to blame, but our brain is stupid), we would like to **** with many women as we can to make babies, and pornography meet this need. AND, our brain can’t distinguish between porn and real sex.

Now here’s a term: The Coolidge Effect
You will feel more and more satisfied with different women and “content”. You will seek for more hardcore content to satisfy your needs…, because your brain will have been so desensitized by the time you are really addicted.

hey, remember that you’re still living in The Reality

    The Cycle of Addiction:

    1. Trigger: you feel like shit
    2. Action: watch porn
    3. Reward: orgasm, damn ugh sooo satisfying… a flood of Dopamine join in the game.
    4. Repeat: DeltaFosB join in the game, now the construction is built. A Pathway of PMO is constructed, now after realizing what’s wrong with you, you can break this pathway by walking on OTHER PATHWAY.
    5. Breakdown - at this stage, you can still realize what’s wrong with you before hitting bottom (6)
    6. Hit Bottom
    - Start to change slowly and transform into a new person, but usually it’s very hard, but always there’s a light.

P/s: There are many information I want to share (still can’t believe that I remember these information after done writing), but it’s late (11PM), I need to go to bed soon, I will continue to write tomorrow, see ya and have a good day.

Because you taught yourself to watch porn as a way to relieve yourself from stress and discomfort.

Our body wants homeostasis, if you're stressed your body wants to bring you back to balance and it uses porn to do so.

So the key is in having emotional balance.

Unfortunately it's the easiest addiction to partake in, or at least tied with video games and social media. It's free, instant, preys on a desire most humans have, it's easier to get off on porn than actually have real sex, the list goes on. I would recommend using the metascript method by universal man(if you wanna see this in action, check out my journal where I write out what I love about pmo and what the new me loves about not being hooked on pmo).

We could probably discuss all the potential reasons why porn is so addictive but there's nothing more powerful than taking the time to self reflect and figure out why YOU specifically are hooked to porn, and figuring out what is it that porn gives you or distracts you from, what triggers you, etc. Once you realize your own individuality you'll be better equipped to no longer want pmo or at the very least, improve your understanding of why you slipped up and learn from it.

Personnally I think it's hard because you can't avoid sexualization in our society. It's basically everywhere.
It's like being alcoholic except you can find hidden bottles of alcohol all around your house and you can't get rid of it.

If we all lived in a forest with no electricity, that would be much much easier.

Deleting all social media comes close to living in the forest. I only use youtube, reddit and this place, primarily for learning.

Agree 100% and only going to accelerate. As much as I hate/loath porn, at least it doesn't pretend to be something else, as is case w/social media. Those who are not addicted to porn are blinded to this sexualization of everyday life. I guess in the meantime, all we can hope for is to find cure for ourselves ?...

  10. Because it's a hard drug like Amphetamines or Heroin, it messes up with your Dopamine, it gives you reward reward reward and reward for seeing some fucking pixels.
