Yeah it's hard to have sympathy for this line of work when most people need to work either backbreaking jobs or work extremely long hours, or both, to make nowhere near the same amount of money.

 

You are overestimating the amount of money most people on OnlyFans make. There are people making funding their retirement through OF, sure, but most people are just getting by. A lot of people are selling nudes to support themselves and their families because the job the have does not pay well enough and they can't find a better one or they haven't had much luck finding a job at all. This is going to throw all these people into desperation.

 

So many closed-minded viewpoints in this thread. I don't care if they get paid more than the men who run the power grid in America; painting your toe-nails so you can take pictures of your feet for a mentally ill shut-in cashing out unemployment checks is extremely hard work. Sometimes you even have to stand up to do things like adjust the camera.

How will all the oppressed minorities (white women) in America ever recover from this?

That's a fair point. The fact people need to do this is a sign of deeper societal decay, and I suppose that is where my issue stems from.

 

I feel sorry for the people who do onlyfans and it is just helping them get by. But I can't say I have any sympathy for the people who are only worried at the fact they could be losing a ton of money or a complete fortune.

Do people blame Nabisco for taking advantage of people's food addiction by selling them Oreos? No, because people understand that it's the responsibility of the person with food addiction to be a responsible consumer of Oreos. Why is this different? It's the responsibility of the person who has issues with obsessive purchasing of digital sexual content to abstain from it or consume it more responsibly.

 

Can we bring back bullying? Or at least some remnant of enforcing proper social standards? No seriously. All this giving people passes and anti-shame propaganda needs to stop. These dudes need to be told to have some damn dignity and to get a constructive hobby. Shit.

Ah yes, but if parents stuff their kids with sugar from an early age, it does have a magnified effect in the future. Maybe even a kind of hard-wiring that is difficult to escape. Seems to me there is generally somewhat of a consensus in the middle with this sort of thing.

I was kidding. Bring back bullying is just something the gen z kids throw around. In all honesty, these dudes need a reality check. For some reason, too many people hate conflict and confrontation, and even more hate being criticized and love to leap at the chance to be offended.
There's no point talking shit and gossiping about these dudes, posting screenshots of their posts like a bunch of catty adolescent females. Just DM them and tell them man to man that their behavior is fucking pathetic and they need to get a real hobby, like building model trains or some shit. Is that so hard?

 

Oh I don't disagree with you at all, I was making a sneering and admittedly unnecessarily ironic post about the internet's sudden championing of sex work. I shouldn't have, it was stupid, sneering, trolling. I probably have more in common with a lot of the views in this thread than I'd care to admit, except the opinion that most men are gay and bisexual.

Compassion has its limits and we're beginning to hit them. They also tie people up. The thing about dignity is that it is an affront to the burgeoning victimhood culture, but the victimhood culture has limits itself.

People don't seem to know what makes a victim anymore, and when a man from an extremely wealthy neighborhood who has had every opportunity given to him believes himself to be a victim because, for example, he's gay (or really, fill this in with the millions of other reasons that people who claim to be victimized and come from a very small, elite class)-- in that circumstance, the entire world by comparison is a victim, and consequently, no one is. Dignity has to emerge, we can only diverge so much from reality before it comes sweeping back in.
