Thank you lord for another victory… I pray we all have a victory today, because even a small victory is a big one.

  13. Hey guys! guess who is back?

I am curious if you have room in the group again.

The other community I was a part of completed and the past 2-3 months being solo i have felt a lot less grounded.

While thankfully I haven't engaged in porn / ejuaculation, (with very few exceptions after initial leaving this group) I feel there is a constant temptation to watch.

The past 2 nights I have been tempted to go to porn sites and through Grace I have been able to focus on not doing it but i feel when i have a commitment in place i can just flow without having to keep fighting temptations.

So my commitment is to abstain from Porn, Ejacualtion and Smoking and No sex outside of a committed relationship from now until Feb 30th 2021 :) (6 months after that I will renew this agreement)

my reason is the previous times watching porn I feel so much suffering, the minute i feel lustful i feel the suffering. it is becoming more clear than ever. Smoking the same thing, feels good for a few days then I feel energy going low and I feel depressed, Ejaculation and sex out side relationship for me is suffering because it creates turbulence and I believe in preserving sexuality to someone who I feel is meant for life as a partner not to waste energy and precious life on temporary pleasures that leads to long term suffering.

I realize with this decision comes many lonely nights and resentment that I am now under a new agreement, but this is a price i am willing to pay joyfully because of the gain in a sense of freedom, inner sense of joy that is increasing and the love that is becoming more and more tangible in all my relationships and my work.

My intention is to see every women I see as my sister and if i see a sister who I relate to long enough i will marry her and turn her into wife, but not giving myself permission to lust over bodies, because it makes me feel very physical and seperate from the awareness of the Grace of God which is always here and now.

If there is room to be on the roaster would be cool but if not no stress. Ill wait and keep my counter on my own.

Thanks guys lots of love :)

To all that are in recovery as a 49 year old man that has been struggling with porn his my child hood years, I beg you to please stay in NoFap until you have complete recovery and beyond. The lure (which that’s exactly what it is, a bait) is not with the consequences. It’s a beautiful lie. One that may cost me the ones I love the most. I didn’t realize or I didn’t want to admit I had an addiction until recently. Because of my constantly wanting to fulfill the list of the eyes I got worst and worst with not just the porn, but cheating on my wife. All the time falling for the lie that she really didn’t love me so I kept searching for love of the eyes and at times actually thinking I was in love with another. But was I really?

I realize now I was being selfish and didn’t know it. I fell for the bait, because I know now true love always protects those they rely love.

STAY IN NoFap. I believe the Lord placed us all here for not only physical recovery, but spiritual also. We can’t look back! Cast down those imaginations when they come, otherwise we keep falling. Encourage one another. And I as a Christian ask that we cast all our cares on Jesus and give our lives to help fight the horrible problem. If I offended anyone I apologize in advance, I am speaking out of care for you and your recovery, just as I speaking for my recovery. and forgive all the typos I’m pretty sure I have cause I’m typing on my iPad before I pray… have a blessed day. By the way I thank the Lord for another day free!

    2 Corinthians 10:5
casting down imagination and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,

    Don’t look back!
    Philippians 3:13
Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead

    Matthew 11:28-30
Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light."

Hello, I'm checking in here. I haven't been doing so well lately but thankfully, I'm feeling little to no urges the last few days. It seems I get into times when it is very hard to break away from it. But then there are also times when it is easy. I've been in an easy time the last few days. I want to stay here in the easy times. Regardless I'll keep on working and trying, praying and fighting. I'm encouraged by what I'm reading here.

Very good, thanks for sharing ... many of us share the same feeling. Recognizing ourselves addicts is a real discovery, it is strong and disappointing, but fundamental to our recovery.
Welcome to the group! We can certainly help each other to overcome our weaknesses!
