Is it normal for the frequency of wet dreams to increase on a long streak? Since I started NoFap two years ago, I was only having an average of one wet dream a month. A few months ago, I noticed that the frequency increased to twice a month. Now I'm getting one every week. Is this supposed to happen? Is it a sign that my brain is healing and returning to its default porn-free state?

This can be for several reasons. When I have wet dreams, it usually happens because of my excessive thinking about sex during the day. One of the indicators of brain healing are wet dreams, but ask yourself, were wet dreams there when you were younger, or when you were not addicted to pornography? The consequence of things like wet dreams is to think too much about sex or the opposite sex, or about NoFap during the day. These wet dreams probably have some way of prolonging our streaks, but that definitely doesn't mean you'll be addicted to pornography again, and it doesn't mean you should give up so easily.

It's difficult to say because I got addicted to PMO when I was around 12 to 14. So no, I didn't have wet dreams at all when I was younger, but that's probably because I was PMOing all the time. That's why I'm wondering if getting back into a regular cycle of wet dreams is a sign that the brain is recalibrating itself.

As NincoMarco said you have to stop fantasizing especially at night, also I stopped 3 wet dreams from happening by doing kegel exercises. Hope this helps :)

Wet dreams are kind of indicators of brain regeneration, but i have a lot of friends who got out of porn but never had wet dreams. One of the things I’ve seen in them is that they absolutely never think about sex and don’t talk about it, while I can say for myself when I was younger and while I was thinking about it I had a lot of wet dreams in that time.
