I have a quick question since I was out shopping today and it had me wondering, sexual ads we see in stores and out on the streets does not count as a relapse? I came across a slightly sexual ad on the street and some clothing line with a sexual image on it was worried on whether that counts as a relapse or not

Nah you’re good. You can’t avoid seeing sexual images completely. It think it mostly comes down to the choice you make when you encounter such images. Are you going to dwell on them and let them lead you to a real relapse or do you accept that they are there and move on?

And do you think it doesn't count as a relapse because those images are out of our control? I've been wondering about this

Yeah that and the minuscule amount of dopamine seeing those images probably produced was negligible compared to what hours of edging to high speed Internet porn and orgasm produces. I don’t think they are nearly the same.

Guys, I want to know how do you spend your time? I have so much physical pain and vision issues that I'm not able to ignore it and have been unable to go get a job at all since almost 7-8 months.

Do any of you have social anxiety from PAWS? I feel like social anxiety has destroyed my life and it started when i became addicted to weed and pmo and its still there during paws.

I'm in a lot of pain as well. Seem to be developing arthritis, amongst other things. I spend a lot of time listening to podcasts (offline, audio only) and watching Netflix.

It doesn't really matter much then does it...most people in their 50s would probably end up this way only.

I am just 25 and can't even go get a job because of all the symptoms that keep pulling down. Somedays I'm like, why even bother now. This game of life was never in my favour.

Yes it is the worst part of my recovery and has ruined my life. I cant talk to people majority of the time, and talking to beautiful women is impossible.

  13. I think linking everything abnormal in life with PMO is not a correct method.PMO addiction is real.Similarly PAWS are also real,no doubts.

But social anxiety is just a cause of non interaction with humans. The reason may be addictive habit of PMO and not giving time for other things or anything else. But even with PMO one can talk to other humans and maintain minimum interactions.More and more one talks to other humans , it'll go away of its own.

we are fighting all odd to reverse our PMO addiction i.e. doing opposite to what we did since years.Similarly,we can break the things and start conversations with family, friends and other people.Social anxiety will go on.

I have seen many addicts in Rehab Centers ,they are very good in communications and they are such communicators that they some how talk to anyone and arrange one cigarette,or weed or whatever they used to take.where is social anxiety there??

Yes FPMO addiction is real.Yes PAWS are also real. But we must not dump all our problems to our past addiction.

Well my thinking and it works.Hope it helps others too.

I just think its extremely weird that right when PAWS hit i would get extreme social anxiety. And when i had benefits before paws all my social anxiety was gone. It surely is a chemical reaction in the brain.

Does anyone know whether those who recovered from severe PAWS were able to go back to having some sort of a sex life without falling back into PAWS?

  16. I had sex earlier this month for the first time after retaining for 21 months or so. Knocked me back into flatline in a big way.

My libido has slowly been coming back although I suspect sex would probably set me back again.

Actually I have a date this Saturday, if things go well I'll report back with my findings.

Damn, it sounds like you are still healing.

How bad was the knockback? Anxiety? Headaches etc?

  18. The hit was strictly to my libido which I'm taking as a huge positive.

So after having sex you were knocked back into a flatline but the only symptom of that flatline was low libido? Is that correct? lol

  20. Correct. I did not have any mood swings, anhedonia, or overall any psychological setbacks. The only other issues are slight headaches and waking up in the middle of the night. However I attribute those issues to the fact that I haven't been meditating consistently for long enough. I now meditate at least once a day for a half hour, most days I do twice for half an hour apiece. I've been doing this for a few months but I think I'll need to be consistent for a while longer while my brain is still undergoing whatever changes are occurring up there.

Even before I had sex my assumption was that I hadn't been out of flatline long enough that I was completely out in the clear. The good news is there is already life down there so I haven't been knocked back down into an extended period of low libido.

Now that I'm thinking about this, I want to make a comment regarding libido. I've found that artificial porn/masturbation induced libido is felt in the genitals. Real libido is born out of the pit of one's stomach.
