I don't think you can describe the effect of psychoactive drugs using crude statistical measures of their effect on population samples. That's what the medical establishment would call 'evidence'. But we are concerned about the effects on our mental state. That's a lot more subtle and, as a few people have pointed out, individual.

Smoking weed or hash was not good for me. It made me quiet and withdrawn, overly introspective, drawn into a web of thoughts that seemed important but were actually not helping me at all. It further alienated me from my body, when what I actually needed was to get more in touch with my body. It gave me a kind of hangover where I would feel fuzzy for a day or two after smoking it, unless I was smoking every day, in which case I wouldn't even know what my mental state was. Eating it was even worse in terms of hangover, probably because of the slower absorption. And it made my cock shrink. I wish I had got into traditional martial arts at that time, not weed.

I believe that, at best, psychoactive plants may be like a tool. You can use a knife to chop up some food for your dinner, or you can use it to harm yourself or others. I think these plants, if they actually have any value, are the same. As I understand it, they were traditionally used in ceremonies with shamans, in other words, expert psychologists and ritualists who knew how to get the desired subjective effect from the plant. In which case, they can be used for escapism or to get deeper in touch with yourself. I have to say, though, that my experiences with cannabis have not been promising compared to ayahuasca. The question to ask yourself is whether the so-called insights you get through psychoactive plants actually have any lasting benefit, or is it just a bottomless pit of metaphysical thrills that leave your thoughts and behaviour no less harmful to yourself and others.

The other important point is that simply ingesting a substance cannot solve our mental problems. I know through my meditation practice that this is absolutely impossible and illogical. Possibly these plants may be useful as tools, but each person still has to do the work for him- or herself. There is no other way.

I have a sister who has a cuff rotator issue, which can be very painful. Cannabinoids would be a lot healthier than the pain meds she is on. I had a landlord with degenerative arthritis who I recommended pot to which made him very angry because of the asset seizure laws. Instead he was on percocet and oxycontin going nuts.

I don't know if it exactly cures it, or just makes you baked enough not to even think about trying. Either way, if it works for you then who am I to judge? It's like anything else in life, while it might work for some people, it might not for others, and that's completely fine. CBD was what helped me through a hard time a few years ago, but I know people who can't stand the taste or smell of it and are sick instantly. This doesn't mean we can dismiss the positive effect it has on people. Getting out of that dark hole that I was in, I immediately had the idea of opening a dispensary in Los Angles, and ever since it's what I've been saving up to do. I'm not an expert at explaining the actual procedure of opening up one, but you can visit this page which helps me along the way with useful info, and read by yourself. Anyway, it's some way that I can help the community that gets great use out of those products, while also doing something that benefits myself.

Nah, I've never heard of it. And to be honest, I really doubt it. Whenever I smoke, I really feel like,, loving someone'' and when there is nobody to love, I just do it myself :). On the other hand, I have read a lot of information that cannabinoids can be beneficial against various types of cancer. This is how I usually excuse myself in front of my girlfriend after I buy something like this to relax after a hard day at work :).

Old thread, but I don't think so. In my personal experience cannabis can even be triggering since it messes with your thoughts. I see it makes me vulnerable to relapse especially when I come down and feel like chasing the high. I'm currently cutting down on the weed for my reboot, I'm starting to realize that cannabis is anxiogenic to me and gives me brain fog, which is something I'm trying to get rid of with nofap.
