First off: I am not going to use the new term, "Sex work," because sex work is not real work.

I think I know why, but I would like to hear what others think. Especially those who have engaged in prostitution in the past, if they are comfortable with sharing.

Scenario #1: Individuals who turn tricks are rebelling against norms and taboos of society. These people feel that contemporary society is puritanical and a violent revolution will not topple these alleged puritan values, so in order to strip society of these values, they must degrade or "liberate" society of them, thus engaging in prostitution. A form of this can be seen with the Sexual Revolution where old norms were destroyed and replaced with the idea of "free love" (Duckduckgo: Alfred Kinsey &
Michel Foucault). These people are ideologically motivated and do not consider themselves prostitutes, but revolutionaries. I would label this group as: Revolutionaries.

Scenario #2: Victims of human trafficking. The United States and England are some of the biggest beneficiaries of human trafficking, to the point where it can be considered a multi-billion dollar industry. Most of the people who become victims of sex trafficking originate from poor countries, where either their family will sell them into slavery or they will be sold lies like one case I've read that told of the story of a woman who almost became a slave claiming that a man came around and told her she'd make 70k a year selling ice cream in New York, it's common sense in the US to know that people who work in Ice cream parlors don't make much money. I would label this group as: Sex Slaves

Scenario #3: This person is a professional. They are not coerced into prostitution or have any profound ideological motives behind engaging in this field. They are solely concerned with the accumulation of money. They may produce porn or other forms of paid media. I would label this person as: The Professional

Scenario #4: Being addicted to drugs is an expensive and unstable pastime. People who are drug addicts may find it hard to retain steady employment and turn to do tricks. These people can also be classified as sex slaves, as they are at risk of being indentured also. I would label this group as: The Reluctants

To conclude, I do not believe prostitution should be legal, because I feel it degrades the morals of society and destroys families. Yet in the US (With the exception of counties in the state of Nevada) prostitution is illegal, yet the US is one of the largest consumers of this industry.

    How do we fix this?

I personally feel just punishing the prostitute isn't enough, busting ground-level people and imposing large sanctions on them does nothing, when the people who organize these prostitution rings do not face any criminal penalty.

I think there need to be more programs that are able to effectively reintegrate these people into normal society. I also think in order to stop prostitution, we need more opportunities available to those populations at risk of taking up prostitution. This may be a pipedream.

I am curious to hear what others think.

    Prostitution won't stop :

    1. Men crave sex

2.Women can have good and EASY money doing prostitution. it's easy money, a woman will eventually do it. Wereas is legal or not.

It goes beyond morals or society. Money is a basic need and sex it's the weakness of men. That is why it's the oldest profession.

I imagine a girl in the prehistoric times offering a hand job for a piece of Tyrannosaurus Rex.

  3. That’s hysterical, but there are people here who will believe that could have happened.

I think the most pressing issue is to have policies in place that would help those women who are not engaging voluntarily in prostitution, either because they have been trafficked, can't find another job that pays the bills or because they are an addict. Is this realistic? I don't know. Banning prostitution will only push it more underground and punishing prostitutes might be punishing the victim!

I oppose prostitution from a moral perspective but realistically I'm not sure how any kind of further laws against it would function practically. I mean it's already illegal, and people still do it, so it's obviously simply legislating against it wont work (see also, gun control laws dont stop gun crime, laws against drugs dont stop people dealing and taking them, etc)

For me the issue is cultural. Selling yourself sexually for money used to be (rightfully) seen as a seedy thing. Now it's almost glamorous to sell pictures/videos etc for a few bucks a pop. It's extremely degrading and soul-destroying (even if you dont realise it) but if people want to do that, then I cant stop it from happening. Where I start to become disgusted is when you see young people, who are easily impressionable, do it. Women just out of school doing it. Putting pictures/videos of themselves that will never go away online without understanding the ramifications of it. Being labelled an "incel" if you oppose any of this even a little bit. It's all a sign of deep societal and cultural decay.

It cannot be stopped, on one hand you have the slave kind, and you wonder, how do we stop that, on the other hand you have the ones voluntarily involved, that will keep happening regardless of what we do.

If anything I think the only way to fight it is condemning it and coming back to the social stigma it used to have, but nowdays with social media and the platforms that currently exist, I got the feeling there is no coming back, sometimes I wonder if the current facilitations are to blame, or if the human degeneracy itself was already there and what we see nowdays is just it flourishing thanks to technological advances.

  7. Hunting and farming are the oldest professions.

A woman giving her body to a man— one man— for food and security is called modern day pagan marriage.

I'd like to bet money that some chick said this in defense of her onlyfans page cause she thought it was cute and by a stroke of luck it caught on.

  9. Prostitution has been around since 2400 BCE. It’s literally ancient. I don’t think banning prostitution would do anything. Except make it more likely criminal activities are going to happen.

I think that either the demand from the buyers should be targeted and decriminalize the prostitutes or full-blown legalization. Prostitution is never going away.

  10. You're focused on prostitutes and not what enables them.

I think the part of Lot Lizards trailer where the girl says, "If I can make a guy cum in 2 minutes, for 60, 80, 100 bucks. It's a lot of power and becomes an addictions," is enlightening to mentality of many prostitutes.
In reality $100 is not that much money and you can get that working at McDonald's while keeping your dignity in tact. The men and women who suffer from that line of thinking need therapy and a healthy understanding and acceptance of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

However... you can't escape this conversation without looking in the mirror. You're on nofap. I'd like to gamble you've watched a healthy amount of porn.

You paid for prostitution with your eyes, ears and attention.
You are just as sick and need to be reintegrated into society as much as those prostitutes do.

    We are all sick inside.

"Do not prostitute thy daughter, to cause her to be a whore; lest the land fall to whoredom, and the land become full of wickedness."
    — Leviticus 19:29

Too many women are molested as children by their fathers, stepfathers, uncles, brothers— and end up prostitutes because of trauma (their minds are literally damaged and do not function properly).

We are the keyholders when it comes to this conversation— not women. So the fact that we're even discussing prostitutes, especially when they wouldn't even exist without male clients— is baffling to me. It shows a lack of self awareness and accountability.

Also what a lot of people have to consider is that prostitutes are a "vulnerable" population. In meaning that they are at a higher risk of murder, assault, sexual assault, and exploitation.

I don't think this would go away with the full legalization of prostitution, because prostitution is a vice industry, and vices such as gambling, alcohol, drugs, and other forms of luxury always attract negative parts of the population and are often used as fronts for organized crimes. Look at casinos and strip clubs.

I remember studying the impact of legalizing marijuana and learning that it actually did not stop crime, in fact, it may have done the opposite. There are many reasons for this, but the main was that legal weed was 10x more expensive than street-bought weed, thus creating no incentive to buy legally. Counterproductive. Is that related to the legalization of prostitution? I think it very well could be, because what is the state good at doing? Taxing. I think with the legalization of prostitution you will see a high occurrence of illicit prostitute rings because the penalty of running these rings is no longer existent.

My friend, sad to say..I believe it is indeed a pipedream. The demand has been consistent throughout history and with high speed internet, sadly, it has gotten even worse and even more degenerate in terms of available content. Women who have an OF page, are essentially prostitutes. They may not be in direct contact with their client, but there is a financial exchange for sexual gratification. The only difference between prostitution and porn, is the camera.

You mention the politically correct term today is "Sex worker", which has been brought forward in defence of the "profession". How does one fight a system that is encouraged by an influential mainstream media? You cannot. All you can do is focus on bettering yourself and opt not to partake in the things you don't agree with. Set the example, if others deem it enticing, they too shall follow. If not, there isn't anything to be done.

These are my thoughts on the subject.

The way I see it is, these people are being led like sheep. They believe that what they are doing is revolutionary, when in fact they are soldiers for the MSM.

I remember reading a book about Hollywood, where a former British Intelligence agent was quoted (Intelligence work and Hollywood are married at the hip) a long the lines of saying that a lot of the degenerate values that we see these people puppetting first start with the elite and then flow down to the masses. There is no patriarchy and no puritan values in the elite, it hasn't existed for a long time, but these values as they perceive still exist in the common folk and they use the MSM, pornstars, and academics to influence.

People engage in such things mostly because they're lonely and want attention, prostitutes are fast and fun, at least it's what everyone wants now
a girl who works in onlyfans have said it; "I think we are monetizing loneliness to these people"

Most do it for the money, you earn more for a short time, one month of salary for 24 hours of work.

Being a prostitute is an extremely low skilled job. Very entry level. You don't need any qualifications. All you need to do is wake up one day and decide to give a handy for a tenner.

It’s like being a thief, because being a thief is almost as easy. All you have to do is take something that isn’t yours.

Hey hey hey, for once I will have to disagree, being a thief ain't so easy, a good thief is very skillful and full of resources and trickery...

On the other hand.... whores that sell their bodies for cheap change... I mean, they have to be incredible useless if they actually need to develope any skill whatsoever.

In the terms of entry-level jobs. It's a very easy one, literally, all you have to do is take some dumbshits car who forgot to take his keys out and go for a spin, and you're theif.

There's no skill to entry and there's no skill to take something that isn't yours.

Are there tiers of competency in thievery? Sure. Very true. Just look at Bernie Madoff

Fair enough, cannot really argue much with that logic.
I still thing that, to make a living out of thievery it will require you a bare minimum of skill, not just a one off thing like the example you said, but yeah, stealing itself as entry-level is not exactly rocket science I can agree on that.
