Sorry to bumping again but I need to add this:

I've felt every symptom that eveyone mentioned, went to all doctors and my health is fine, I felt terrible that I've been taking supplements last 2 months, I began feeling really bad at October 4, my birthday, where I got a feel like I can breathe, but any oxigen was entering my body, like I'll pass out, went to the doctor and he said that I had "anxiety" problems, told my father about my PMO problems, he said "That's the problem, stop doing it" and I didn't listen.. December 23-Present, I felt so depressed that I've started doing PMO like 4 a day, started with a strong head-face ache that almost killed me (having it now BTW), I felt like my eyes were going to explode, and even when I close my eyes don't feel like they're resting. 1 month later got a LOT of floaters, visual snow, tinnitus, brain fog, prostate pain sometimes, etc.
I've been doing NoFap all this time thinking: "Is this what's harming me that much?" and began relapsing after 3 days, 1 day, the best streak I got is 7 days, but I felt """proud""" because I was PMO'ing 1 time a day. Now I see that I really have a serious problem, and I'm scared... I'm really scared that my life won't be like before only for this... I need help, I'll really won't PMO ever again, but I need hope, please, please tell me that I'll have a normal life.

I used to have the eye floaters back when I was fapping several times a day; they disappeared a few months after I started NoFap.

You should see improvement in your floaters over time. I've researched it a lot. I'm not sure they completely go away, but they settle down and you don't notice them. Many say they've been able to have theirs go away completely.

Hello, thank you for your answers, I'm starting to see improvements, but I have a really, really bad tension headache only on the right side of my head and face that is killing me day and night, there's no day where the pain decrease, it's like my VEINS hurt, when I touch where the pain is in my face/head, I feel like a vein is beating very hard. I think my blood pressure and circulation are really messed up because of PMO. Please if someone can recommend me a supplement or a medicine to cure that disease I'll be very grateful.

EDIT: The pain dissapears in the morning, then goes increasing over time to the point it's impossible to do anything productive. And if I can remember pain increases even more if I PMO.
Oh, and about a year ago I was edging from time to time, I never knew that it did so much damage until I entered NoFap, and I think that's the reason I have this headache.

How were your floaters? How many were in total and with what intensity? And can you tell me when they dissapeared or how you saw improvements? Thank you so much in advance.

Oh btw, my tinnitus is completely gone after 9 days no PMO, I'm happy but not satisfied because my head hurts anyway...

I was getting the floaters all the time, but they seemed more intense when I was outside on a bright day. It took about half a year of NoFap before they completely disappeared.

Thank you for your answer, you really are giving me hope, I'm so impacient because I'm like 2 weeks starting nofap and I'm in a 11 day streak, but I don't see any difference right now, I will see improvements after what time? I'm asking because I have a girlfriend and you know, I have to do something with her every two months. It will affect with my reboot?

If you start edging you will get ‘fucked out’, as I put it. That’s what causes the erectile dysfunction. You get a bigger flatline if you edge.

Man, I have many of the same symptoms of you and some of the guys that have posted here. Symptoms include: brain fog, poor sleep (insomnia/waking up multiple times through the night), scattered focus, eye twitches, and some anxiety. The worst symptom for me is poor sleep, which causes all of the other symptoms to amplify. On top of that, sleep depravity also makes me more susceptible to relapse. Two sides of a deadly coin.

It's clearly evident that pmo severely compromises the brain and its functions. It's breathtaking to hear symptoms relating to pmo. I also bear witness to these symptoms relating; they're life-altering and crippling. I argue that this 'behavioral addiction' is worse (in terms of withdrawals/effects) than many substance addictions, such as weed and cocaine. The disturbing part is it's completely normalized. Users can't pinpoint why they're experiencing such vast mental health issues. Why is OCD and ADD so prevalent today? How about insomnia, brain fog, anxiety? Pmo is not even thought to be a slight possibility. As one pointed out here, the overwhelming majority of doctors prescribe this as a 'normal and healthy habit'.

The key is having patience and perseverance through tribulation. There have been many recovery stories that testified how long it took to get clear of withdrawals. Heck, I was still experiencing withdrawals on the latter stages on my 240 day streak... Then I caved mainly because I was frustrated of not seeing the improvement I was expecting. I get fed up. My lack of patience and longsuffering was my ultimate downfall. It's going to take time. We just need to keep fighting one day at a time. Keep chipping away. If we feel like utter crap, we must move on. That day will come to pass; it always does. My goal at this point is get to the one year mark, then go from there. I definitely want to continue talking about the topic of overall effects and withdrawal symptoms from the use of pmo- hear of more what you guys are experiencing.

It's all because of PMO that these issues are arriving. I had extreme breathlessness issue as well when starting out. It improved in around 2-3 months. Least to say, I have a long battle ahead of me and have a lot of other symptoms.

  17. I might have some underlying issues that caused me running toward pmo. But right now I'm fighting with withdrawals, PAWS, sexual exhaustion and flatline.

Stick to your guns man. We both know the withdrawals and exhaustion are all too real, even if other people don't understand it.

Hi, I have a severe addiction, I can't, I really can't reach more than 14 days since march of this year, I've had so many symptoms that I felt that improved when I abstained from PMO, but man, it's so dificult, I always think to myself that is placebo my recovery, because all the symptoms I have are so heavy that I can't hold on for one more day, eye floaters, intense daily trigeminal nerve pain/migraines, testicular pain, heavy PE, extreme anxiety and panic attacks, like I'll have a heart attack, abdominal pain, blue field entoptic phenomenon, etc.

I've never had this issues since december 2020, the doctors says that I don't have anything wrong.

Please, please somebody help, somebody tell me that the symptoms I have are because of PMO, I don't want this for my entire life.... please help me.

  20. This is not how you help people, if they had control over themselves they wouldn't have asked for help.

I have read Pyroo's comment by email notification and thought about logging in and responding here for everyone who is facing a similar situation.

In November 2020 I've gone through a total collapse after a single relapse. Since then day and night were the same for me. Hell of symptoms as GAD, social anxiety, Migraines, tension headache, weird head sensations, DR/DS, OCD, and Depression, sensitivity from screens, and many others. It was a helpless case. And yep I had nothing medically, the doctors prescribed me anti-depression which I never took because I knew that's another circle of struggle.

Yes, all that has been mentioned in this article is caused by PMO, it will cause countless psychological and physical symptoms. You will reach a state of symptoms that you don't find anybody complaining about on the internet which makes you totally confused, yet you only know one thing, that it started after a binge or a continuous edging to PMO.

Let's get into the remedy here, after a long search I found different ways to cultivate my health and recover from the case I mentioned. First of all, you should know that whatever situation you are in is caused by PMO as long as no other reason was diagnosed. Secondly, you should know that whatever situation you are living in can be cured but with a strict recovery process.

1- You need to stop PMO totally including sexual fantasies and sex. You should also work on reducing the number of nocturnal emissions to once per month or less; this is done by defining what causes it (read the book I mentioned and learn from your experience about the food and habits that cause it).

Stopping PMO is done by cleansing your subconscious with rebooting materials, articles such as your brain on porn book. Not every article will help you in that, look after the ones that go straight to the point and I highly recommend you to focus on two books (Your brain on porn and Rebooting as the best remedy), then you can expand further to similar materials.

Stopping PMO is also done by a second factor which is vigilance, you need a strategy to stay away from the evil monster. Considering the place and time and the materials you use from phone and computer. I have removed the play store and browser and I only install the apps I want and I use my phone and laptop in a public area (not my room). You should be strict in this way, you have to sacrifice things, you may use other options as it suits you.

2- Have a healthy routine: Your serotonin is low, cortisol is high, probably in insulin resistance, so you need to adjust that.. No, don't take an antidepressant if you are sure it's PMO, if you do so, don't cut it unless by professional instructions from your doctor. You can adjust these hormones by changing your life habits, like running daily, exposure to sunlight, fasting, and keto diet. There are foods and herbs that help in that like Omega3, dates, black seeds (don't take any herb without physician advice and always do search and take a little). For migraines and tension headaches I use peppermint oil, it's helpful. Use exposure therapy for anxiety. Sleep enough, relax enough. Such life habits are the second main reason to recover.

Also check if you have some vitamin or iron deficiency as I think it's common to have low hemoglobin and Vitamine D levels for PMOers, and deficiency help in such symptoms to occur.

3- Avoid bad habits and super-stimulants, such as sugar (Ice creams, chocolate.. cut them for at least the first 4 months then take a little), sleeping late (very bad habit to your recovery), anger, overeating (it causes drowsiness, brain fog, and nocturnal emissions if done before sleeping), long settings, long staring.. Super stimulants are like Alchohol, smoking and sugar (If you are dependent on any of these then reduce first, especially with Alchohol and smoking.. tapering as best as you could). Once you realize your bad habits and understand them, you will realize how much they affect your recovery.

One of the most important things is to avoid any binge. A binge is not masturbating more than once a day, but masturbating more than once in the longest streak you made recently.. You may oppose this but you'll understand it when the symptoms hit. A binge is probably the spark of every increase in the symptoms. Remember this. If you relapsed once, it's okay, get back again to the track as best as you could. It will take half a year at minimum to start feeling improvements in severe cases.

Also remember while recovery, you may get into confusing symptoms, repeated symptoms, Keep going, keep going.

I think from 2021 onwards many members with severe symptoms will show up.. Hopefully, this addiction will be recognized soon.

This is a brief to my symptoms, my advice to all of you and to every hopeless person who searches on the internet for a way and feels alone on a lonely road, all the best :)
