    83 days – You enter the Dead Marshes, a swampland.

    Dreary and wearisome. Cold, clammy winter still held sway in this forsaken country. The only green was the scum of livid weed on the dark greasy surfaces of the sullen waters. Dead grasses and rotting reeds loomed up in the mists like ragged shadows of long forgotten summers.

    The lights of the fallen fapstronauts seduce many into oblivion. You stare at the water.

    Found a park where I could do some pull-ups today. I could only do one, then a couple incomplete ones. My goal is two sets of 12, so it's unlikely I can hit my target by December like I wanted to, but oh well. Other than that I did my usual squats. I find them a hard exercise but I'm getting better.

    The sauna talk gave me some temptation, but I resisted the pull of the souls of the dead marshes!

    Last night was dangerous regarding p-subs, such as insta and tiktok vids. Going to block those off from now on.

    Day 18

    Crossing the Brandywine River! my first ever checkpoint in the journey. I would have added the iconic picture of Sam saying “if I take one more step…” but I’m lazy and there is so many other things I need to do today.
    So yes, this is my record and from now I’m on uncharted territory. But I’m still a long way from freeing myself from this addiction so I’m not going to let down my guard.

    @ListenPaul, thanks man, I guess that I just don’t need to go anywhere that I would only use for fishing… maybe next year I would be freer and stronger.

    thank you, I just don’t know how I can express how much you’ve helped me. I’ve woken up a little lost today and your words just gave me everything I needed. Thank you.

    You didn’t let us down brother, you are an inspiration! You’ve made it more than a month, it’s amazing. The hardest, bravest (and only) thing you can do to top that is simply understand what happed und lift yourself up to start the journey again with us. Just stay with us because as we all know, the next 72 hours would be the hardest.
     
  5. I'm @garmenclyde. This is my old account. Accidently I found out I could reset my lost password because I still had the e-mail.
    So now I have two accounts, what a mess!
    It feels exciting to be "icebreaker" again and maybe I even behave a little different (automatically) on this account (we have different alter egos, that's why)
    However it is like looking at a mirror that shows years of not getting anywhere, years of addiction, years of struggeling, years of hiding. It's wearying.

    But back to buisness.

    Relapse report:
    my last relapse was actually not the worst. First I succumbed to the urges and watched porn on my phone at broad daylight. But then I reacted: I went swimming. Even on the way to the lake I had wild fantasies of sex with a stranger but I said to myself "let's see what happens to your dick when you are in the cold water" "you want to jerk of. OK, no problem, just go into the lake and when you can you can do it there."
    Ok, maybe the last thought was not the healthiest one but of course when I went into the cold water all the cravings and wild thinking were cut off.
    Long time ago, I even masturbated in cold water once (why??) but that was at home in the bath tub. When you swim in a cold lake your body just can't afford to stay in that mode. It is forced to activate all the senses and work against the cold.
    So that was a good decision, a good counter-measure. And it is so good for your body and mind! Do it often in the cold season and you have so many benefits. Also it gives you a kick and as a addict that's probably what I'm looking for the most.

    Still feeling a bit of withdrawal sympthoms: fatigue, brain fog, anxiety... but they´re slowing lifting, so it´s good :)

    Small urges but i´m feeling more tempted these days, not sure why, but surely has a connection to my present weak state. Anyway, i´m following my strategy to the point. No slack.

    Talz! From the lands of cold and heartWarming niceness, that sounds like a big big goal you have there, as most sites I saw help me get 10 in a couple of weeks. However, Talz, warrior of NoFap, I shall take on this challenge as well. Prioritizing Pull Ups to reach two sets of 12! I made 3 yesterday (just 3, not 3 per set etc... Just 3), but couldn't do not even one today, so our Strengths match. When is the end date? and do you need any tips?

    I might be able to progress faster than I think then. 10 in a couple weeks would be great. Yeah, any tips or resources you have would be great. I wanted to get there by Dec 1st. I also wanted to reach 2 sets of 50 squats. I have already made it to 2 sets of 25 on pushups and leg raises, so that is my first goal for those. I will probably hold those there for now and try to reach my pull up and squat goal.

    Checking in! Feeling urges, and this is due to fatigue. Staying offline tonight. Why engage in risky behavior if you don't have to? Early to bed for me.
