Is this an accurate statement? If you don’t know your triggers (at least most of them), then one probably isn’t going to have much success with nofap (no pmo)?

A few of my triggers are: I know going to bed I’m likely to relapse because I think I need masterbation to fall asleep. When I wake up, I’m also likely to relapse. And others.

    What are your triggers?

  2. I 100% completely agree with you, that you need to know your triggers. I've tried to quit many times in the past but always failed. This past summer I started a journal to track how i felt before and after PMO and found my biggest trigger was boredom. Working from home if I had a slow day and was working on boring stuff, I would PMO. Weekends I had nothing to do, I would PMO. Much to my surprise I would PMO when I was bored. Knowing that at the start of August I began another PMO journey. Since August 1st, I have only PMO'd 5 times and the last one was on Sept 2nd. It's the best I have ever done, and now being over 40 days porn free I feel like porn does not even interest me.

The triggers are obvious, anxiety, hands available, etc...

That's what I'm wondering: the desire to watch internet porn does leave ones system if they avoid it long enough?

  5. In my experience I have found that by not watching porn I have no desire to look at it. I'm approaching 50 days being porn free and now find that i'm not even thinking about it anymore.
