I'm gonna try Aversion Therapy to heal from my fetishes

Discussion in 'Compulsive Sexual Behavior' started by Deleted Account, Oct 30, 2021.

  1. The plan is as follows:

I'm gonna watch the P I usually like (nylon, feet, sissy). I'm not gonna jerk off to that, instead, I'm gonna use a rubber band to inflict pain.

On the other hand, I'm gonna fap to vanilla stuff (this is boobs and pussies, have to avoid absolutely anything involving feet)

Maybe after a while, I'm gonna be conditioned to hate my fetishes and to like simple vanilla stuff?

    Has anyone tried this out?

  2. I think just switching to vanilla stuff and avoiding fetish content should be enough. It's what I did, and now I get turned on by vanilla stuff just as much/more than my fetishes (I don't think it's possible to remove fetishes unless they were built from PMO addiction - mine weren't. they were from childhood). Or maybe just avoiding porn all together for a while, then pursuing actual relationships would be a better option.

  3. An alcoholic switching from liqueur to beer remains an alcoholic. If that's your goal, remaining an addict go ahead. If you have other values in life than being a porn addict of whatever sort and you feel like having to inflict pain with a rubber band use it any time you feel the urge to watch p. If it all gets overwhelming and you need to fap to keep the damage low then do so but don't watch any p doing so and do not fantasize. Instead focus on body sensations and make it a lovable act. Over time hopefully you will be back in control and no longer enslaved to your urges. Or ... go the hard mode way. Go for a cold turkey. Depending what works best for you.

Don't watch the fetish P at all!
If you gonna watch P - watch vanilla P, at least.
And if you can, don't watch P - fap as quick as possible and get over with it.

Anyway, I would recommend you to give up PMO in any form for at least 90 days and see if it will help you.
The pain thing will not work in my opinion.

  5. Personal opinion I think you might be overthinking it. I’d recommend just trying to go the 90 days and seeing where your head is at after that.

I don’t think this is a really good idea. My fetish began in childhood and is deeply ingrained. Even so, most of the stuff I jerked to was vanilla, with my mind developing fantasies based on who I was looking at.
Meaning, even though the P was softcore vanilla, my imagination turned it into the fetish. Maybe it wouldn’t for you, but I think going cold turkey is the way to go.

I am with others, does not sound like a good idea. Just seems that your addicted brain got the best of you and helped you to justify use.

I read in another post that you had these fetishes before porn. I really don’t know if this is a good idea what you are trying. You could harm yourself. The best thing what you can do is to look for a good therapist, it seems that you have lots of issues.

In general it’s really hard to change deep rooted fetishes. The best would maybe to accept that you have these fetishes and live them out with a trustful partner to be happy again.
Changing deep rooted fetishes is very hard and would take lots of time and there is still a possibility that it wouldn’t work.
In both cases finding a good therapist is the best thing what you could do

What's more likely to happen is that you will stay aroused to the fetishes you listed AND develop arousal from pain. The supernormal stimulus of sissy porn will override any feelings of pain or aversion you feel. It's common in many sissy JOI, roulettes, and RP to spank oneself, ballbust, asphyxiate oneself, choke on dildos, or stretch the anus to very uncomfortable levels, and all of those are thought to INCREASE the sensations strengthen neural pathways that respond to sissy porn, not develop an aversion.

The best way to develop and aversion is to do a 90 day reboot and rewire with real sex I did that and went from heavily addicted to sissy porn to never finding joy in it again in just 8 months

This is not a therapy, this is a self medication.

    Better abstain from porn.

You really don't want to give up porn, right?
    Why are you here?
What will happen is, that you probably get an additional fetish of masochism while still strenghtening your addiction.
How about taking things serious, re-read all the advice you got so far and start a journal, make a real commitment for a period of time, instead of opening another 10 threads about how you can rationalize a behaviour that seems to hurt you.
I know it isn't easy but I also know it is possible.

    All the power!

When you say you switched to vanilla stuff do you mean only with porn or even with your fantasies?

Also do you still engage in your fetish from time to time or do you decided to totally avoid it?
