    Day 3,
I'll try to concentrate on a short term precise goal. I'll do my best to achieve one month free from PMO, November will be a perfect clean month.
    We can do this.

There is a ton of evidence that PMO has a terrible concenquences on you, mentally and physically. You want a prove? Then read your brain on porn (the book and the website) there is a ton of scientific informations there.
PIED, brain fog, disabling the frontal lobe, lack of motivation, depression, anxiety... Are all side effects of porn. You feel it, you suffer the real pain when you PMO. It's real, your brain is trying to trick you... Do not listen to him.

    Day 41

Unrelated to NoFap but very related to going in the right financial direction :)))

Bro, just read Your Brain on Porn - this is your mainstream research - https://www.yourbrainonporn.com/
Also there is tons of research about how the Reward system in your brain works and how dopamine the main motivator hormone makes you addicted to all kinds of stuff if you overdo it - porn included.
More and more people are coming out and saying it - NoFap is a form of dopamine detox related to the neural pathways for sex, which if you have been addicted masturbatin on porn - you have messed them up.

So do some research on your own and see if that helps you get motivated. If you use not having enough evidence as an excuse to fap - then this is another story and you should recognize this and move past it. Think about that! Your brain will rationalize a lot of silly stuff to get you to do something pleasurable like fapping, drinking just one more or buying that really expensive pair of shoes :)

    Keep going guys!

    Day 2

@Devankit, it is great that you are here, and that you are being inquisitive. Alongside the comments already made, I would add that this journey isn't all about physical benefits. Many of us are here because we realize that we've been selfishly using other people for the sake of our own sexual gratification (e.g. through p, fantasizing about people, even unhelpful sexual habits with other people), and find that m twists our sexuality in on ourselves, when our sexuality should actually be about giving love to another. Instinctively, and through the reports of others, we think that stopping pmo will help us to love better. And romantic relationships aside, we find that longer streaks make us friendlier in general. I admit these things can't easily be measured, but yeah.
    Wish you all the best!

I agree with what you said.
Talking about buying expensive things, why do i feel guilty whenever i buy something expensive? Is it low self-esteem? Is it normal?
If you have some idea ^^'

Congratulations! PMO was my primary "stress relief" in grad school but all it brought was shame and more anxiety. I would've been a happier grad student if I had found healthy ways to enjoy my free time...
