How to stop mental porn

    Guys im really struggling with mental porn images. im replaying vidoes i watched years ago and fantasizing in my head. One by one, its crazy!
    After all this time they are still up there hidden in my memory.

    Man, me too. I get it.
    Best thing I’ve found to do is endure for the moment and find something else to focus on. I will pray and ask God to deliver me and start praising him until it goes away.

    I have had the same problem. I've learned that we have to set goals for our life and think on those things. We are suppose to control our mind, not have our mind control us.

    I think to bounce off the comment about breathing, getting into a breathing/meditative practice will literally train your ability to ground yourself and let the thoughts fade. If you're skeptical, give it a shot. You'll notice that if you actually don't put any effort into fighting thoughts and just simply let them exist without judgment or frustration as you focus back on the breath, the thoughts will just fade. And as you keep practicing this, it'll be easier and easier to do this in your daily life without having to sit down and meditate for 5 minutes just to feel calm. This sense of stability and calmness will become more of a normal thing in your life.

    Its okay to have fantasies and thoughts, you're only human. Best thing you can do is acknowledge this humanity in you and respect that sometimes the mind just drifts and wants things we understand are no longer serving us in our lives. The fact that you can even make this post about your frustration with these thoughts show you already have power over your monkey mind, its just something that needs to be practiced.

    Nearly had a relapse today. It started with the mental stuff. I found myself browsing on youtube for p videos. Im not sure what compels me to go back to this crap after a long streak, the series of events leading up are usealy different. I just cant put my finger on it! It like a repeating cycle. Im not delaying it thats for sure im convinced that i want out forever. Im not sure whats going on.

    This time guys I just really want to fully indulge init, i want the licence to pmo. I just want to go all out and hit rock bottom! Its mad! Its crazy, that im even thinking this way. First time ive ever felt this way since my recovery began. I have been feeling quit lonely recently and a little down maybe this could be why.
