Well fellas, a couple of weeks ago I failed but only with masturbation without porn but after that, I've been failing I lot. Now, I entered with a solid 7-day streak into No Nut November. I haven't failed since but the reason I'm posting here is to tell you guys what's been driving me to failure and not only do I want to reboot completely (reboots and recovery doesn't always last 90 days, it could take more than that, even years) but I also want to not come back to this behavior anymore, whether is fapping or porn, I want to have a normal sex life without cravings for sex, porn or masturbation, just a normal sex balanced life. The point guys is that I wanna share something with you, and this is key here if you want to fully overcome this addiction and conduct...

What has been driving me to porn every time I fail is not cravings no, what has been driving me is my problems, not having a girlfriend, not having money or a decent job, being an immigrant, etc. And the setbacks I've had is not because porn serves as some sort of medication no, it's because I'm alone and those stares at porn were because of my misery, so the root problem of porn is our unhappy life, if we don't fix our life, the rest won't be solved either.

But porn made my life unhappy! Then my unhappiness leads me to porn again and again. It's like a feedback loop.

yes, it is, but for most of us, we were happy when we started, in my case I was happy but I discovered porn at the age of 11. It didn't matter if I had whether or not discovered porn, the events of my life regardless of porn would have been the same but, of course, as I discovered porn, those events were worst, porn worsened everything and like you said, is a loop where you get stuck. Of course, if like having alcoholism or drug addiction, if you overcome those problems, is not that your life suddenly will be the best just like that, but certainly, it will improve and you will have fewer problems to worry about, and the ones you have, without (in this case) porn, will be easier to overcome.

My point is that if we were happy, porn caused our unhappiness and we got stuck in a loop just like you said and, if we were already unhappy at the time we discovered porn and started using it, it will reinforce the fact that we were unhappy and got stuck nonetheless. No matter the position of our life when we discovered porn, the result will be always the same, and to overcome this problem, we need to solve our unhappy life first to get out of this terrifying addiction called porn and masturbation. If we don't fix our life, it will drive us again and again to porn.

True. When I discovered porn, that time pmo was ok to me. But I didn't know that pmo will harm every aspects of my life and gradually make me a totally unhappy, sad person. Now a days, I'm unhappy. Don't want to pmo anymore. But due to compulsion, I do it. So, if I somehow find happiness and fulfillment in life other than pmo, then it will be easier to beat it, I think.

Porn is a drug of the mind and like all drugs, it eventually controls your life. Even if you are able to carve out a parallel life alongside it, it still reigns over you; it has the " final say " where you allocate your time on on a daily basis. Even when your not pmo"g, it's always in back of your mind, planning and formulating next play. The fact that you're realizing your predicament is encouraging zeke27 and I wish you continued success.

Whatever your situation is, properly analyze it and kill the root causes.
    We all have different stories.
