  1. Why was the = sign so humble?
Because he knew he wasn't < or > than anyone.
    -someone on the Internet.

Count: like counting numbers 1,2,3,4... Or taking into account.
Count: it's a tittle of nobility. Like Count Dracula, he's a Count.

Ah, yeah lol. Funny joke :p. I pronounced 21 more like Twenty wan instead of Twenty won, that's why I didn't get it at first.

  10. A few I made up:

    If 1/3 is .3 repeating,
    then 1/3 + 1/3 + 1/3 < 1.

If a "perfect circle" is when cir/dia = pi,
how can it be "perfect" when they still don't know
    where pi ends?

If there are 365 days in a year,
    52 weeks x 7 days in a week = 364.

I've spent so many hours in engineering school and on math forums so that it has been impossible to not pick up a joke or two. Here are two decent ones (require basic knowledge about trigonometry and matrices, respectively):

Eating too much cake is the deadly sin of gluttony. But not eating too much pie, because the sin of pi is always zero.

Matrices usually don't commute, because they like to work from home.

Lol, I'm stealing that one for the next time I'm teaching someone about complex numbers. :D

This thread reminds me of this classic practical joke: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cox–Zucker_machine

Don't tell me that mathematicians lack humour.

  18. My uncle used to tell me this dumb joke every holiday:

    I have eleven fingers.

There are six on this hand. He would then put it behind his back.

On this one, I have five.

    Five and six is eleven...
