Edging is dangerous.

We think that we can have just a little bit, and then stop.

But, the porn inevitably takes over our brains entirely and controls us.

So many times, I've thought, "I'll just surf around for a few minutes."

Then, I am engrossed, and when it does end, I see hours have passed.

Rarely, can I stop this without blowing out an ejaculation; only after that can I close all the tabs on my browser.

At that time, my day is off schedule and lost, and often, it is well passed my bedtime.

I am then hungry because I hadn't eaten and end up eating junk, which only makes me feel grosser.

If I do successfully stop at edging, the next day, I pick it up again with another marathon binge.

This is the destruction of PMO.

When given an inch, porn takes miles; when given a minute, it consumes hours and days.

There can never be just a little bit in some moderation.

Our rejection of porn must be absolutely total.

Hard mode!

 

40 days is a pretty great sign of recovery either way. I'm sure you can do it again, and then some. Sounds like you already know what went wrong so thats great.
