Pluckeye

Discussion in 'Rebooting - Porn Addiction Recovery' started by sinner76, Jan 5, 2021.

  1. @sinner76 . Thank you very much for that. You are right. You can't use telegram on Mac at all because of the wss protocol. You would have to allow telegram and can't block images and videos. This is bad
Someone has a configuration for fleeing names in pluckeye. But I think it is inherently bad. Because in future you will remember those names and sites. So I have to create my own flee list

Man, you could still use the legacy version. Video and image blocking works there. You could also try cloudveil messenger which filters telegram.

    @sinner76

Can you tell me how to block Youtube videos containing the keywords "bikini" or "swimsuit". I already have Pluckeye installed and working on all my Windows devices. I just want to avoid looking at any Youtube videos which contain swimsuits or models in their content.

Is there a way to block such vids using Pluckeye?

You'd need to make sure youtube.com wasn't in your allow list. Then pluck + flee word bikini and pluck + flee word swimsuit

I put youtube in my block list and then used pluck + flee word bikini. It didn't work though. I can still see bikini videos when I search on Youtube.

If youtube.com is in your block list then you shouldn't be able to access youtube.com period.

If a site is in your allow list then a flee word will still be accessible on that site, as the site is allowed. But if you flee a word and then search that word on a site that is not in your allow list, it should be blocked.

I think there has been a misunderstanding. I want to be able to use Youtube, but all videos containing the keyword "bikini" or "swimsuits" should be blocked. Is there a way to block all such videos from my Youtube?

If I block youtube.com then I'm unable to see any videos on Youtube (even clean scientific documentaries)!

As far as I am aware the flee word feature does not work on a site that is in your allow list.

So for example youtube.com is in my allow list. If I flee word bikini and then search the word bikini on youtube, I will still be able to see the word bikini and videos containing the word bikini on youtube, because youtube.com is in my allow list. Where as bing.com is not in my allow list. So if I flee word bikini and then search the word bikini on bing, this will be blocked on bing, because bing.com is not in my allow list.

flee word bikini will block the word bikini on every site that is not in your allow list. But if a site is specifically in your allow list, then the word bikini will not be blocked on that site.

    I hope this makes sense.

Another option would be the safe features. But these might block more on youtube than you want

    pluck + safeyoutube

    https://docs.pluckeye.net/safe

Something you could try is this

    pluck + allow youtube.com image/

    pluck + allow youtube.com video/

    pluck + flee word bikini

    pluck + flee word swimsuit

Then after these rules have gone through

    pluck - allow youtube.com

This potentially might achieve what you want. I can't check to see if it works at the moment because of my delay.

    @a pink elephant:
Can you type in pluck export and see if you see "allow youtube.com"? If so, the flee won't work for that site, just like @skaterdrew said.

On my laptop I allowed videos on youtube (pluck + allow youtube.com video/) but not images, so I can't see the preview pictures but I can see the video. And flee works for me on youtube. So I guess flee doesn't work if you allowed youtube in general, but it still works if you allowed pictures and/or videos but not the site in general (hope that makes sense).

This blocks a lot of safe Italian sites with the string "mi ha".

Is it possible to use it without having restricted access to youtube or to get the blocklist of mixed sites SPIN blocks to import it to to pluckeye?

    pluck + block text/

This will block every website except the websites that are in your allow list.

    pluck + block otherwise

This also blocks every website except the websites that are in your allow list, but it also blocks all programs that are not in your allow list.

If you want all websites blocked all the time except for the ones in your allow list then

    pluck + block text/

If you want all websites blocked all the time except for the ones in your allow list, and you also want all programs blocked all the time that are not in your allow list, then

    pluck + block otherwise

If you want to block all websites except for the ones in your allow list on a schedule, you could do something like this

    pluck + when 17-24 block text/

This will block every website except the websites that are in your allow list from 5pm until 12am every night.

Or if you want to choose certain days of the week to block text/ or block otherwise

    pluck + when MTWRF0-24 block text/

This will block every website except for the websites that are in your allow list Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. Then on Saturday and Sunday you will be able to access websites that are not in your allow list.

Or maybe you would prefer to do this with block otherwise on Monday, Tuesday and Friday, except on the Monday you only want block otherwise from 12pm until 2pm, on Tuesday from 3pm until 7pm, and then on Friday all day

pluck + when M12-14.T15-19.F0-24 block otherwise

    Days of the week

    UMTWRFA
sUnday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, thuRsday, Friday, sAturday

    Time
    0-24

    pluck + flee word word

The second "word" stands for the word you want to block, for example pluck + flee word nsfw

Pluckeye blocks all non chrome based browsers. I think it already does this by default. But it definitely does this if you enable the nhb feature, pluck + nhb

If you download any chrome based browser the pluckeye extension will automatically be added to the browser. If you find a way to remove the pluckeye extension the internet will disconnect on the browser. If you download another chrome based browser with the pluckeye extension removed the internet will be disconnected on that browser.

Pluckeye can block any download of your choice, or even block every download there is.
