    You satisfy me more than the richest food; I will praise you with joyful songs. I think of you all night long as I lie on my bed meditating about you. For you are the one who helps me; I sing happily from under your wings. I hold on to you; your strong arms lift me up.

    Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.

    The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.

    Hello all, I'm new to NoFap and I'm pretty much excited to experience a change of mindset in order to become the person whom Jesus has called me.

    This Scripture has been on my heart for a very long time, and I'm moving with it today:

    Romans 12:2
    "Do not conform yourselves to the standards of this world, but let God transform you inwardly by a complete change of mind. Then you will be able to know the will of God - which is good and is pleasing to Him and is perfect."
    I humble myself to experience everything throughout my journey! Peace and Strength from God be unto everyone over here. Amen.

    Thanks for posting this. It is such great advice and so very pertinent for fervent believers. The more deeply we love Our Precious Lord, the harder it is to listen to someone deny His existence or divinity. However, I try to bear in mind Christ's rebuke of Peter on the night of His Passion when Peter cut off the ear of a servant of the high priest (I presume Peter wasn't much of a swordsman).

    John 18:11 (ESV) So Jesus said to Peter, “Put your sword into its sheath; shall I not drink the cup that the Father has given me?” Then Christ healed the high priest's servant, Malchus. Malchus went on to become a great Christian. Christ drew people to Himself through humility and kindness not with anger and violence. So, we are called to do. Dear God, please help me to always bear your example in mind.

    Del Laudes de hoy.

    Porque, Señor, yo te he visto
    y quiero volverte a ver,
    quiero creer.

    Te vi, sí, cuando era niño
    y en agua me bauticé,
    y, limpio de culpa vieja,
    sin velos te pude ver.

    Devuélveme aquellas puras
    transparencias de aire fiel,
    devuélveme aquellas niñas
    de aquellos ojos de ayer.

    Están mis ojos cansados
    de tanto ver luz sin ver;
    por la oscuridad del mundo,
    voy como un ciego que ve.

    Tú que diste vista al ciego
    y a Nicodemo también,
    filtra en mis secas pupilas
    dos gotas frescas de fe.

    So very true. And you remind me that I have not really a defense prepared nor have been living in a way in which that conversation would come about. Thank you for your insight CPilot.

    11 “Whom have you so dreaded and feared
    that you have not been true to me,
    and have neither remembered me
    nor taken this to heart?
    Is it not because I have long been silent
    that you do not fear me?
    12 I will expose your righteousness and your works,
    and they will not benefit you.
    13 When you cry out for help,
    let your collection of idols save you!
    The wind will carry all of them off,
    a mere breath will blow them away.
    But whoever takes refuge in me
    will inherit the land
    and possess my holy mountain.”

    “Woe to the rebellious children,” declares the Lord,
    “Who execute a plan, but not Mine,
    And make an alliance, but not of My Spirit,
    In order to add sin to sin;
    Who proceed down to Egypt
    Without consulting Me,
    To take refuge in the safety of Pharaoh
    And to seek shelter in the shadow of Egypt!

    1 Thessalonians 3:12 - 4:2 (NAB)

    12 May the Lord make you increase and abound in love for one another and for all, just as we have for you,

    13 so as to strengthen your hearts, to be blameless in holiness before our God and Father at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all his holy ones. Amen.

    1 Finally, brothers and sisters, we earnestly ask and exhort you in the Lord Jesus that, as you received from us how you should conduct yourselves to please God and as you are conducting yourselves you do so even more.

    2 For you know what instructions we gave you through the Lord Jesus.

    Reviewing the Psalms, and this passage from Psalm 22 is beautiful.

    (9-10)
    Yet you brought me out of the womb;
    you made me trust in you
    even at my mother's breast.
    From birth I was cast upon you;
    from my mother's womb you have
    been my God.

    In the context of the full psalm, David was in a time of utter helplessness:

    (17-18)
    I can count all my bones;
    people stare and gloat over me.
    They divide my garments among them
    and cast lots for my clothing.

    David even starts this Psalm with:

    (1-2)
    My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?
    Why are you so far from saving me,
    so far from the words of my groaning?
    O my God, I cry out by day, but you do not answer,
    by night, and am not silent.

    But David reminds himself of the truth of the good God.
    (3-5)
    Yet you are enthroned as the Holy One;
    you are the praise of Israel.
    In you our fathers put their trust;
    they trusted you and you delivered them.
    They cried to you and were saved;
    in you they trusted and were not disappointed.

    Therefore let's (Psalm 13:5-6)
    Trust in God's unfailing love,
    our hearts rejoicing in his salvation,
    singing to the Lord,
    for he has been good to us.

    Trusting as David trusted even in the hardest of times,
    With an awareness that leaning on God will not result in
    an absence of trials,
    but he is better than that,
    for this life is to prepare for our eternal life with Jesus,
    and we would not be prepared if we were not given the opportunity
    to first know him and trust him,
    to mature,
    to relate to him and love him more
    by accepting the task
    to carry our own cross,
    and walk alongside the Lord humbly.
