Which is your favorite horror film?

Pengabdi Setan(2017) scares me because the location of the story takes place where I live

 

Now every time I see a bell I want to destroy it with a flamethrower

 

Yep, last one I watched was classroom of the elite

 

I speedran and finished classroom of the elite in one day so around 6 or 7 hours

I watched the usual "extreme" horror films as a teenager, but my favourites nowadays are not the scariest necessarily but deeply atmospheric and engaging.
Early Hammer films always remain dear to me, as well as the wonderful Edgar Allen Poe movies made by Roger Corman in the 1960s. Italian gothic is well worth exploring, search Mario Bava or anything with Barbara Steele in it.

The scariest movies are always the ones you watch too young .. for me it was "the Omen", a decent enough religious horror but terrified me at age 13, remember feeling my heart pounding in my chest and inspired one or two nightmares too. Loved it!

Freddy Krueger movies were always good and the wickerman with Nicholas cage is a good watch that sort of thing
