So I suffer from pretty severe OCD (diagnosed) and I'm constantly getting bombarded with sexual intrusive thoughts/images, either from porn I've watched in the past or just sexual intrusive thoughts/images in general. No matter what I do I can't seem to shake these thoughts off. I've tried letting them sit in my mind without trying to interact or give them any attention, doesn't work. I try to distract myself with other productive activities, etc., still nothing. I'm even having trouble falling asleep at this point because of all these thoughts and images popping up in my head. Nothing is helping. They're always there and it's making me lose my damn mind. Will my reboot be slowed down or be for nothing because of this? Anyone else gone through something similar?

Listen now, brother, stay strong and fall in the trap. You are fighting an addiction, do you think that drug users or gamblers are not thinking of their addictions when they want to quit. I mean really this is the meaning of addiction, if it wasnt like this you wouldnt be addicted.
Just stay strong, dont lose focus, remember why you are on this path and never look back. You already said goodbye to P. Your mind will try to trick you to fall again in the trap in a very innocent way like its nothing, just dont forget why you started this.

Thanks, man. I'm not really having an urge to relapse or anything though, it's just the damn intrusive thoughts and images in my head. Can't get rid of them no matter what I do. And since they sexual and vivid I'm worried it's going to slow down my reboot or ruin it due to how constant they are, it's literally 24/7.

Before realizing my porn addiction i was addicted also to drugs like amphetamins and crystal meth, so was not getting a proper sleep and actually because of the effect of the drug it was very interesting for me to do jigsaws and crosswords. So i was doing jigsaw and crosswords literaly for something like 48+ hours without stopping. After this when i was going to sleep when i was closing my eyes i was seeing jigsaw pieces or even with the crosswords i solve so many of them i was able to create new crossword just by closing my eyes. So yeah this is really stucked in your mind it will fade away, especially if you find something else that is interesting for you

I dont think it will slow down the reboot, i think actually this is the first part of getting rid of addiction. Dont rush, dont put time limits by yourself, just give it a time.

Hang in there brother. I know how terrible it can be. It happens to me too.

Try to keep yourselves busy with something else.

Reading a book, listening to music, watching a safe movie, or even playing a video game might be useful. The more time you put between watching porn, the thoughts will lessen. And don't be tricked into thinking that it won't. That's just a trick. Remember "when the going gets tough, the tough gets going".
