    Agreed.

Guys, if you find ways to bypass the blockers, write a pm to someone or contact the developers. But don't post it here for everyone to see, so that other people can also bypass it and relapse. If you were a heroin addict and found a new, cheap source, you wouldn't go to a Narcotics Anonymous meeting and tell everyone about it, would you?

Does anyone know of another way to block all proxy sites?

I used to use Cleanbrowsing family DNS, which blocked all proxy sites. But using this DNS caused me a few different problems.

I flee word proxy using plucky. This seems to block all proxy sites. But again this is also sometimes causing me other problems, not being able to access certain sites if the word proxy is on the site etc.

Obviously another way to block all proxy sites would just be going through them all, blocking them all with plucky. But I feel like this won't be as efficient, as you could still miss some, and it is also a hassle trying to find them all and block them all.

Does anyone know of any other easier methods to block all proxy sites?

I prefer using cloudflare DNS because of how fast it seems to be on my computer. But I don't see any cloudflare DNS's that also block proxy sites.

Cleanbrowsing family DNS was not as fast on my computer, and it also restricted youtube. The cleanbrowsing family DNS is the only one of their DNS's that also blocks proxy sites. But I have found another method to block whatever youtube content I want, without having to have tons of stuff restricted on youtube that I don't want.

Hi is it possible to block ip address in macos and ios ? Hosts file don't block ip addresses. Nslookup doesn't turn up any ip address. Ip address is blocked on browser but this ip address has streaming data that can't be blocked on vlc etc. any advice?

Current setup - blocksi profile on macos, coldturkey paid, edited hosts file.

okay I was able to do this using pf.conf Refer to these 2 guides apple.stackexchange /questions/373676/how-to-block-an-ip-address apple.stackexchange /questions/327165/pfctl-to-add-rules-at-runtime-without-editing-etc-pf-conf

Yep, I use OpenDNS because it's very flexible and you can be very restrictive if you want.

They have a set "family shield" that just blocks porn and proxies or you can set up an account and customize what categories it will block. If you go the latter route you can save your account information in a lockbox (lockbox.pluckeye.net) so you can't easily disable the filtering.

The main downside of OpenDNS is that Cisco is not doing a very good job of keeping their filters updated. It also doesn't block malware sites like Cloudflare and Cleanbrowsing's offerings.

It needs a lot of restructuring. I'll see what I could do.
@svwluke Totally right, the delay should be customizable.

Forticlient 7.0 could be helpful for you but I need to upload a video because there are lots of steps.
FortiClient 7 might work but I am not sure.

It doesn't look like porn sites or proxy sites are any different to any other website. So by the looks of it, all these internet providers, DNS providers, filtering companies are doing is manually blocking these sites, having people working for them, searching for new porn sites, proxy sites, and then just manually blocking them. Probably also having people messaging them, letting them know when they discover a porn site or proxy site that isn't being blocked through their filtering.

I mean look at Cleanbrowsing DNS for instance. Their family DNS seems to pretty much block every proxy site out there. But how are they managing to do that, if they're literally all being manually blocked one by one? I would guess they do occasionally miss some new porn sites and proxy sites, and are likely messaged by people to tell them these sites aren't being blocked, or they simply just eventually find these new sites and block them. They must be constantly on the look out for new porn sites and proxy sites to block.

I was first under the impression if you used Cleanbrowsing family DNS that you would never be able to access any porn site or proxy site. But by the looks of it, if you searched hard enough, you would likely eventually find a porn site, proxy site even while using their DNS, filtering, or any filtering for that matter.

    This is pretty accurate.

I got OpenDNS to block around 1,000+ sites last year. I had to submit a number of support tickets and constantly check their work to make sure they actually blocked it after they said they did (because a number of times they didn't actually do it). It was like pulling teeth at times, and it seems that this volunteer effort is the only thing keeping their filters up to date.

The other filtering approach (sometimes used by parental control programs) is to try to use AI to identify porn and proxy sites on the fly. This also isn't perfect and will generate false positives and false negatives.

    @sinner76

Let me enlighten you with a porn-blocker for android that is ABSOLUTELY FAIL-PROOF. Believe me - I've tested all others out of desperation. I've even went as far as to destroy two of my android smartphones because I couldn't handle my porn addiction and I always found a way to bypass blockers - until I found... NetSpark.

Visit netsparkmobile.com and they give a 7-day free trial followed by $10/month fee. My successful streak is testament to the effectiveness of this blocker.

I'd like to know what your thoughts are after checking this out @sinner76

I guess they use categorify.com and then do a lot of manual steps, dns filters won’t save a porn addict but will safeguard children from stumbling or seeking out porn

I am on cleanbrowsings categorify website the now. I am guessing they don't let you look through the websites they have blocked by category for free?
