How long does it take to reboot your brain?

Discussion in 'Rebooting - Porn Addiction Recovery' started by Deleted Account, Jan 9, 2022.

  1. Like is there an average amount of time it takes for someone to reboot or is it very different time amounts for everyone. Idk just askin to anyone who might know.

  2. Everyone is different. Depends on several factors. How long you have been addicted? How often were you indulged with the act of PMO? Age?

I was into PMO for 25+ years. Around day 95 is when things got really better for me. I guess results vary depending on your addiction.

How bad did your PMO get? What symptoms did you get before starting your NoFap?

  5. Back when I pmo’d regularly it was once or twice every day, if I ever tried semen retention and failed that number would increase for a little bit. My symptoms were negative immoral intrusive sexual thoughts and a constant desire to nut. Not nutting for me keeps those thoughts from appearing and even if they do the pain or stress from it is much more controllable which is why I do this.

It was 2-3 times a week for me. I would spent 3-5 hours at a time. It wore me down physically and mentally. Mine was stress related to a great deal. I would skip out on responsibilities only to come back from fantasy land and they still be there; then further behind. I was constantly thinking about P related things. My brain was so fogged. PMO habit will root into every part of your life.

  7. Did you heal or make progress by now???

Absolutely! I started feeling better after day 30. Sometime about day 95 is when I started noticing the most benefit. For one, I started getting interested in the gym again and in my business. I am working now to get caught up and get everything repaired that PMO damaged. By the grace of God, I am making good progress in the gym and in our business. I rarely ever think of PMO. I still find women attractive but do not look at them the way I did before if that makes sense. For me, recovery was painful for the first 90 some days but it is worth it!

Did you have low motivation and anhedonia accompany your brain fog??

I sure did. I quit bodybuilding completely, let our business almost dissolve, and basically gave up on all the plans and dreams for my life. I don't know if you are interested or not, but the thing that really got me kickstarted was the 7 part video of the Paradigm Shift by Bob Proctor. The first video is titled "Winning vs Losing". That is what really got my attention. I have listened to those videos dozens of times.

Yes, that is the video. There are 7 videos to that series. That is the video series that really got me going in the right direction. Since, I have become a student of Bob Proctor, Napoleon Hill, and Paul Martinelli.
