What's in a username?

Mine is just my name, i just tweaked it a bit to make it feel more 'usernamey'

Well, I'm vegan and a cann... Umm... *clears throat* I also really like the show/movies/books surrounding Hannibal Lecter.

 

The meaning of the name Lazarus is "God is my help". In the Bible, Lazarus was brother to Mary and Martha and was raised from the dead after four days.

"Shuttlesworth" is the last name of a character who's my favourite basketball player in the movie "He Got Game"

Erics'sBlue comes from a music group called 'Evan'sBlue' ...with a song they had called "Caught a Lite Sneeze" back in '06, which had a really nice ring. I really liked it and wanted something clever so I guess this kind of popped in my head and, I put Eric in instead; because well. Eric's blue a lot .
It seemed to go well together nicely, somehow- it has a subdued melancholy to it that is peaceful.
Blue also happens to be a favorite color of mine.

 

I needed a username. I saw a post-it note that said "Powerstrip" and went with it. It's just a multi-way plug, not anything to do with stripping.

This username has followed me round the internet since, since I have no imgination at all to come up with something else!

 

My name came from a character in a novel called Infinite Jest. There's a lot about addiction in the book, but Don Gately is a former Demerol addict whose history of addiction is a big part of what sets up the novel. He does recover, humbly and successfully, from his addiction.

July and August are hot and humid on the Gulf Coast, which makes people want to stay inside. So the username is a metaphor for the laziness of spending life enslaved to immediate desires. Also, I'm a dog person.

 

Well, my name, Never Return There, was used and created specifically for nofap, to motivate me to not go back there and to remind me of the negative things that come from fapping, expressed by the word "There". It kind of contains some strength, a message to make yourself realize deeper, and think deeper. It also serves to maybe motivate other people who see it and influence them in a similar way as it was meant to do for me. There is another purpose, too, which is radical and too rude, but it must be implied in it: in case i go back there, WHICH I DO NOT WANT, NEITHER I WILL LET MYSELF GO TEHRE, the name will be as my personal condemnation and judgment, so in this way i am more motivated to not be a hypocrite and remain strong in order not to contradict or taint my name... ;D There is a guy who is a friend of mine on reddit/nofap, he is one day behind me, his name there is 2may2015, which has the same effect and purpose hidden in it, since it is the last time that he relapsed, and he hangs on his daycount still. ;D


And my avatar, a duck, well, i chose it because i like that picture, and it looks kinda funny when you see some guy in a forum using it as avatar, but besides, i have watched some videos of that guy Clasik Obas on youtube, who has many useful videos about Nofap, and he talks about the humble ducks and their behaviours.
