Imagine just how crazy its going to get in the next 10 years with porns being more extreme than their previous installments..

This lecture hit close to my heart.. Really made me think about my own life in a very unique way & she's absolutely right the way to prevent the destruction of our future generations is through education and we can't be gentle about it... Porn is like the elephant in the room now, porn sites are one of the most visited on the internet and basically any young child can gain access to them and get a completely distorted picture of what 'sex' should be and nothing about love...

I Look at my own life and feel disgusted and ashamed that I lived the way I did for so many years.... But now I am cured thanks to nofap and to gary educating me..

what can we do to remove the stigma from the elephant in the room..?

    Quite horrifying to watch really.
When she listed the negative effects porn causes which are compounded the younger you are exposed I just felt ill.

Having seen my first hardcore porn graphic images at age 8 I hate to think of what damage I've done.

What's scary is that the longer term effect on these kids is still unknown. It's like asbestos, nobody knew the dangers of the wonder material until people started keeling over. Will this be true of the under 25s? Will some struggle with sex, relationships and life, just because of porn? I remember masturbating when I was 12, every night, thinking about the same girl I was in school with. For months this was enough. Looking back I am now so grateful that I had no access whatsoever to porn at that age. I can remember that 'age of innocence', and feel comfortable with idea of reverting back to that state of mind, free of porn.

If I'm unable to remember a time (like those watching hardcore from age 10), how can I 'revert back' to previous brain wiring? Surely it is going to be far more difficult to create wholly new neural pathways. My hope is, in time, there will be more mainstream realization of the dangers of porn. Once the knowledge is mainstream, maybe this generation can be supported to go through this mental change.

That was a good watch. The videos she was talking about are mild compared to some of the things I have seen. Will I ever get those images out of my head? Also I can relate to watching those videos of absolute abuse and degrading women and being ashamed to watch. Thanks for sharing.

Video has a few triggers indeed

As much as i liked porn , The main reason ive given it up is PIED with the Coolidge effect and desensitization. A lot of these "kinks" are going way out of hand.
Like to point out its not just women who are Degraded and abused, The gay side of the porn industry has many men treated as badly.

It's interesting that people think things are naturally going to get progressively worse.

If you look at smoking, it used to be allowed anyway and everywhere in the UK. Now the government have upped the age you have to smoke, increased taxation and banned smoking in almost all public areas.

What is to say porn will start to get outlawed and much more difficult to obtain. The next generation may indeed experience such a thing.

I agree, rape has hardly anything to do with wanting sex. In fact quite the opposite. Anyone who is horny enough can go visits prostitutes, or at least go to countries where it is legalized.

Rape is a very different from of someone just wanting sex. Studies have shown rapists rape primarily due to the feeling of power and belittlement they impose on their victims. Which is why most rape victims are actually people they know in real life, someone who was even once their partner as opposed to the random stranger who hides in dark alleys or dimly lit carparks.

Sorry, just i assumed an army of rapists would be raping more

From what ive read many studies have shown Men have gone off real sex altogether, PIED and ED and low libido are on the rise. Ive not read much about men raping due to porn but i would be interested if that was the case

For one porn is protected under freedom of the press and though there have been studies about porn addiction it is still not recognized as a true addiction. Also how can you block porn on the internet? Sure there's pop up blockers, and porn blockers but for the people who watch porn how can it be regulated?

Actually, I think that Ted Bundy said that Porn was one of the reasons why he did the things he did. I'm not sure which interview it was but I'm sure you can find it somewhere on YouTube.

At the moment The effects of porn use are wildly unknown, Pied and ed etc, i had those symptoms a decade and still didn't realize it was related. Once it becomes known it can produce impotence etc, many men like ourselves will self regulate.
The internet in its present form is hard to regulate but still very illegal content has been regulated enough for the regular viewer not to be able to view it.

Oh i'm not saying porn doesn't effect certain men into doing certain acts, I was generally interested if rape has increased dramatically in the Internet porn age or if it was just an Internet made up fact.

It's the woman in the video. She said kids are growing up watching all those gag and anal porn. The outcome of which would be boys forcing girls to perform these acts with them.

I have read that they have been trying to add porn addiction to the list but it keeps getting denied. The regulations on porn at the moment is next to nothing and I find it hard to believe that porn will ever be very illegal. I also don't think that porn should be illegal however it should be restricted more from children. I don't see denying that porn has gotten worse and will continue to get worse. Some of the fetishes that are readily available now were hard to find 5 years or even 2 years ago.
