I agree with you. For me, masturbation requires me to recall porn from my memories, so they are entwined.

I also agree about bikini pictures. They are often worse than porn and they are everywhere in advertising and entertainment.

 

I don't know why, bout according to my experience both are tied. When I masturbate, even if I don't think about porn, I am somehow more prepared to watch porn. Somehow my willpower is already gone.

 

Someone who watched porn daily from age 12 to age 20 have had thousands of orgasms with porn, with masturbation. Trying to enjoy masturbation without porn with that kind of conditioning? Pfft. Masturbation without porn for a porn addict is like drinking water from a wine bottle for an alcoholic.

Going back to healthy masturbation after the porn addiction is cured, that's something I haven't done and don't plan to.

I think it is possible to go back to masturbating occasionally after the porn addiction is completely cured. However, I agree with @beaverreaver, I have no intention to do so. Like @learning said, porn and masturbation are too entwined for me tbh.

@New Parsifal is right to shun 'bikini babes'. This is just a substitute for porn and p/subs frequently lead to relapses.

Whether one leads to the other is question that will have different answers from different people. I suspect you will agree with the answers that suit your own opinion and experience.
My own 2 cents on this is that masturbation can be a healthy outlet. Nevertheless, if you are concerned about it, stop feeling guilty and seek help. And if one never masturbates but remains miserable, well, that person also needs help, but perhaps of a different kind.
Find the best solution for yourself.

i struggle to see a life for myself that occasional healthy masterbation isnt a part of.
i sense i may be nieve but i find porn the issue in my life. if i can stay off porn and masterbate occasionally to relieve the physical presure instead of acting out in worse ways.
i would like to know how many men on this site have actually stopped PMO as a way of life for years
