Volunteers needed for a Research study

Purpose of the study: To better understand the process of pornography use recovery efforts, this research project seeks further information which could be used to enhance recovery programs and serve as prevention measures. Participation is voluntary and you can withdraw your consent to participate at any point through the survey. Respondents are anonymous and no contact information will be collected.

Procedures: There is one assessment to this study

Time: Participation is expected to last about 10-45 minutes.

Exclusion Criteria:

· Participants must be age 18+

A few things about the survey have been brought to my attention:

You only get one chance to take the survey. If you’ve opened the link, once it is closed you can’t access it again. It is designed that way to prevent people from taking the survey more than one time.

You CAN open the link and keep it open if you don’t want to complete it all in one sitting. Qualtrics gives you about a week to complete it from the time you open it until it expires, so please be aware of that.

You must consent to participate in the survey and be 18 or older. You will see these 2 options on the first page of the survey. If both items are not checked, you will be booted from the survey and will be unable to access it again.

Are you referring to the link being a tracking webpage/virus?

It is a survey collection website called qualtrics. It is used a lot it academic survey administration.

 

Did you check both to consent and that you were 18 or older, boxes on the first page?

 

On the first page you have to consent to participate in the survey as well as be 18 or older. If you don't check both of those boxes, you'll be taken to the end of the survey. The reason you have to consent to participate is so we are able to use your data in the study. Did you select both of those on the first page?

Survey will be closing in one week, for anyone who would like to take it and hasn't had a chance to yet. Thank you to everyone who has participated so far!

 

If you dont select the two boxes on the first page, one to consent to participate and two, that you are 18 years of age or older, it will take you to the end of the survey. That is the main issue people have had. They either would select one or the other, or select neither box.
