After trying to have sex without a full erection, I noticed a pain and lump on my penis and since then I had a Peyronie scare. I was so anxious that I began to google abt Peyronie and noticed some people also complain about venous leak: I also began to search about venous leak and noticed I have similar symptoms. I tried to watch porn and masturbate to see if my erections were still okay (i had stopped P and M for a while before now) and noticed I could not keep an erection at all; my erections fall almost immediately.

This has made me depressed and sad, I cannot think of anything anymore, I feel suicidal and think of leaving my job. I hear there is no cure for venous leak.

I hope it is not a venous leak as I fear. Any other possible reason for not sustaining erection? I have stopped porn after my death grip syndrome early this year and already noticed improvements until now.

I must go to work in some minutes, so I will come back to your question later. I will, however, for now, tell you that the chances of you having Venous Leak are very small. If you've had good erections in the past year, that lasted longer than 20 seconds, you can NOT have a venous leak.

Thanks but why do you think a venous leak cannot occur at some point? What if it started this year?

  4. Well, the only way to rule out a venous leak is to pay a visit to a urologist and get a doppler test on your penis to check it. Also when you say that you’ve stopped for a while how many days are we talking about? It might be that you have not recovered yet and need more time away from sexual things.

  6. Well, the rebooting process can vary a lot between different people and maybe you’re still in the flatline. But I still recommend visiting a urologist just to be on the safe side.

Not to barge in, but I haven't had good erections in the past year, but when i did have semi erections they happened while standing and they happened twice in succession (after the stimuli left and then came back) a few years ago after my PIED onset. Currently my dick is still shrunken and shriveled. I do not remember if the semi erections were 20 seconds long each.

Can semi erections count towards PIED?

Survivor and Anonymous. The only thing that really maters is nocturnal erections. If there was even 1 night in the past year where you woke up with a morning erection, you DON'T have Venous Leak. Venous Leak is VERY rare, and the people that have VL had it already in puberty when they first started getting erections. The chances of you having VL are very rare, and the chance of you having developed VL later in life is rarer than the chance of me winning the lottery.

You guys NEED to do a 90 day reboot minimum. You are PIED' the f*ck out. I had the same. I had the worst 6 months of my life worrying over PD, VL and other shit, thinking I had all the symptoms, but it just turned out to be PIED. Trust that you are fine, let go of this fear, go do NoFap, wake up with morning erections and you will be able to tell yourself: ''it was just PIED, I am fine''.

Want to be 100% sure though? Go do a doppler ultrasound at the urologist. But there is one problem though. VL is often misdiagnosed. If you for example can't produce an erection by medication during the test (because of PIED - yes this happened to some of our members), then the urologist might diagnose you with VL while the real reason for your erectile problem that test was your brain not sending any signals to open up the arteries to the penis and clamping the ischiocavernosus to keep the blood there.

The reason we PIED sufferers lose erections fast is because the Ischiocavernosus (muscle) isn't getting enough signals from the brain to stay contracted and keep the blood in the penis.

That's probably why. I don't get nocturnal erections anymore or morning wood, but I'd have to say my issue is PIED because of all the mental symptoms I'm experiencing (along with this flatline symptom).

1 year ago, when I had my first big streak of 84 days, I remember not having - or having really bad - morning erections for nearly 50 days. Only around day 50 did I get some good morning erections. And this has changed so much the last couple of months. I also remember not having any morning erections years ago. All those stories of guys needing to go pee superman style was just foreign to me. I never had to wait 5 or more minutes to let my erection go down to pee, because I didn't get morning erections at all back then.

Just forget about VL. It is so extremely rare and PIED shares way too many symptoms with it. PIED is the real issue you should be concerned about. VL is like the fear of a nuclear attack going to happen tomorrow. It could happen, but it actually really won't.

I'm undergoing Gainswave therapy atm, getting great results, don't have Venous leak, wouldn't help if I did. The doc said that guys with Venous leaks can't get even a slight erections with one, it just drains back out even with heavy stimulation. So not being able to keep an erection is not a Venous leak, it's something else, likely PIED, but could be testosterone issues, just need some blood work done, maybe high blood pressure, high cholesterol, maybe you smoke, overweight causing testosterone to be converted to estrogen. Can be a number of things, but it's not Venous leak.

Arterial Insufficiency is always a possible cause, and it's more common than guys think. Basically some guys see an increase in size later in their late teens/20s, but that size doesn't come with enough new blood vessels to fill it up enough for firm erections. Biology can be a bitch. I think I had this to a degree, because I noticed increased size, but erections got weaker. Gainswave induces low level tissue damage, which the body then responds to by creating new blood vessels to get blood to the damaged tissue to heal it. The new blood vessels are permanent, and make the erections firmer. I'm only on my 4th treatment, out of 6, but guys with really bad ED go up to 12, and my erections are much firmer, and I've seen a crazy amount of new veins on the surface level, can only guess about deeper tissue......This is also why guys should stay the fuck away from penis enlargement bullshit, yeah you can increase the size, but those exercises don't cause new blood vessel growth.

Guys relax you dont have Venous Leak - Its PIED. I wasted 1 year of my life stressing about leak. I was virgin at that time and was scared of sex because of it. I tried NoFap got to 48 days and my nocturnal erections started coming back slowly. I gained some confidence as my erection quality improved but was not 100% cured -I needed to have sex. So 48 days and then a girl came into my life and I lost my virginity with a great long first time sex. If you can have sex then you dont have venous leak. I think that guys with leak cant have sex ? Correct me if Im wrong. So relax and go foe the 90 days

If you have a venous leak, you simply cannot get hard whatsoever, not even remotely. You certainly do not have a venous leak. I know the symptoms say otherwise, but i've spoken to doctors about this when talking about PIED and they all tell me the same thing. Men with this condition can't get hard, there is nothing down there. Period.

Some important questions: do you still get morning wood? When was the last time you got hard without problems?
Venous Leak is extremely rare. PIED also shares many symptoms with Venous Leak. I had almost every Venous Leak symptom if you read the description of VL, but I just had PIED. That is why everyone here is so afraid of VL, because it has almost the exact symptoms.

BUT, if you have morning wood / nocturnal erections, you should not worry about VL at all.
If you've had good erections in the past year, you should not worry about VL at all.
Like I said, PIED looks so much like VL. That is why it is so hard to distinguish them from one another. And the fact that you can't properly test because you have PIED, makes the tension only worse, which in turn only limits your chances of getting good erections even further. That is why you need to do at least 90 days of NoFap, see if you regain your erections, and then you know for 100% sure.

Or, as I said, if you have morning wood, then you already know today that you don't have VL. If you can get erections on your back, you very probably also don't have VL. Some people claim you can have position-dependant VL, but I highly doubt that. Getting an erection while standing is very hard and most men can't do that for more than 30 seconds, so that is not a weird thing

Soft glans is a classic symptom of PIED too. I had that too for a very long time until I finally succeeded at NoFap

  19. It sounds like a number of us (myself included) have OCD. It causes a smoke screen for us to think we have something different from the PIED. Stop fapping, stop looking at porn. Stop making up excuses - I did the same thing. We need to just break this bad habit.
