Yes, of course. If you think of the reason anyone has their own poison, it's because it numbs them from reality, it gives them a momentary high and escape. They avoid whatever is troubling them in life. It becomes addictive and destructive, because the object of their avoidance is never addressed. It is the avoidance to tackle any form of issue, emotional trauma or obstacle that presents itself in life. It could be something extremely simple to something extremely complex.

I do believe many behaviours are learned in our childhood, addressing it comes by facing the situation. Delving into the traumatic memory and diffusing it over time. By changing your perspective of that situation, gradually. It is by no means easy, but I do believe it to be necessary as all our avoidance link up with some form of addiction.

You're absolutely right my friend! You are full of blessings and you do have all the tools you need to be free. And it would be your own choosing (or any of us), to stay in the dark.

We will be free bro! We just have to stay on track

I totally agree with that. I've recently diffused some issues with the help of some forum users. However, it's hard to see another perspective on your own.

For example, I had an issue of comparing myself to others because I was often compared by my parents. It never gave me peace of mind. However, someone sent me a link to an article which explained that comparing yourself to anyone makes no sense. You are either better and look down on people or you are worse and feel envious. There's no peace of mind here. Yet, it takes practice to change one's pattern of behavior and thinking. And you can't see the pattern of new behavior/ thinking until someone points it to you. The mind is somehow so rigid / subjective. I would say blind to see the solution outside this prison of own beliefs.

Woa this surprised me! I feel you brother but remember, a dream is a dream you don't have anything to blame yourself for.

You're just starting your streak, even after months you'll probably keep dreaming about it but less frequently... Sooner or later you'll fight PMO even in your dreams.

    God bless you

    Checking in Fellowship Friends!

Day 394 free of MO and day 3 free of Porn.

The urges arise in the morning , it's a rush and a pull aiming to bring me back into darkness. Providing the fake comfort to cower from stress and feeling of overwhelm, ironically caused by the same. I refuse to return, albeit not easily. I keep reminding myself that engaging in this fantasy sphere does absolutely nothing for me, it's none-existant. Once more the weather does not support the greatest of moods, but that is out of my control. I am to crush a lower body workout today, meditate, study some of my notes and re-read my first ever personal journal. All to reinforce my why.

Have a wonderful Saturday my friends.

    Stay strong!

@RiseToGreatness Keep moving brother, it's as you say. The flatline is difficult, I realize that brain fog makes life very challenging, but when it releases you will know that you can conquer your day to day with ease, as you did with fog.

@kaerhal I'm sorry to hear of your recent struggle, if I may, I would like to add my thoughts. Perhaps there was a sense of loneliness that arose, when you found out your ex was in another relationship? It's great to be happy for another, but it may still sting given it is someone you spent a lot of close time with. Try to reflect on this, lean on your family, friends and fellowship for support. The momentary pleasure you will gain from a PMO session is not worth the price you will pay. Stay strong.

@ListenPaul I'm happy to see your confidence and acknowledgment of the good around you. Keep going, don't let up!

  8. Day 5

Last night was tough. You see, I work as a overnight janitor at a Wal-mart, which involves cleaning the whole store. Last night it was my turn to sweep through apparel, including intimates and underwear. I either had my eyes trained to the what's in front of me or on the ground, away from the images, while blocking the thoughts trying to bubble up. Thankfully the section wasn't that filthy, so I was able to speed on through, and I'm proud to say that I managed to keep it together. Right now, everything in me is calm and I'm still keeping it together.

Well said, well shared, well met. These quotes resonate with us all. We revel in the tortured death cries of your inner abominations, and rejoice in the rising of your inner hobbit.

15 days Fellowship!! Hell yeah, i´m a Hobbit now!! :D

    bilbo 3.gif

I don´t know what it feels to destroy the ring, but it´s a sure damn relief everytime i become an hobbit, pfiuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu :D ;)

I´m still feeling lot´s of withdrawals sympthoms, so tomorrow i´m gonna workout a bit more. do a proper workout to push the body some more, hoping that it awakes from lethargy :emoji_muscle:

Other than that i´m following my strategy to the book, no slack. Today for the first time in weeks, i started to feel urges. Must be the hobbit energy :D. Honestly i rather feel urges than the blank hollow state of flatline.

Let´s keep going Fellowship!!! Towards Mount Doom!!!!

    Day 50

It's been about 15 months since I joined NoFap, and for the first time ever I'm a Dwarf of Moria!

I'm pleased to have made it this far, but the journey these past few days has been more difficult than I'd imagined. The obstacles and temptations that surface have pointed me to some truths about myself, and if I want to destroy the PMO ring once and for all then there are some actions I'm going to have to take.

I'm putting together an exercise routine to get myself into better shape, and I'm reducing the indulgences I consume (e.g. desserts, alcohol, second/third portions...) to improve my discipline. Work and studies need to become a greater priority in my life than they already are, as only by focusing on these, my faith, and my NoFap journey will I see the results I want. Onwards!
