So basically I'm not new to the whole NoFap concept. I had posted on a thread before stating I had lasted for a week but unfortunately relapsed.

One of the main reasons why I'm trying desperately hard to quit my porn addiction and fapping is due to social anxiety and Paranoi.. Only 2 days ago I was a chronic masturbater and porn user. I felt shameful, not important and most importantly I didn't feel manly or confident my testosterone levels were basically non existant. I made it my mission to go far this time.

So my main reason for posting on this thread is to share how much has changed even after "2 days" yes 2 days!! You wake up with energy you wouldn't of once had, I'd usually make excuses not to leave the house interact with people even talk to people. But I had stuff to do today and I felt happy to do them. You feel an Aurora around you.. It's hard to explain (maybe some of you Fapstronauts can relate) you seem to get respect from strangers. Your not caring about what people think of you. You feel like a man.

And one of the last fulfilling things is women notice you more. It might just be Suttle little things like a friendly little smile from a stranger or a girl you haven't seen for a while. All of you know when you have a night or jacking off into a sock watching hardcore porn you almost feel as though women know what you've been up to.. It like they can read you're mid lol. But yeah that's about it.. I'll keep my ongoing battle updated. I hope to meet many interesting people here. Peace :)

I used to M daily (worsened by mixing that with an addiction to chat rooms), and was forever sulky and lacking energy.

I recently went for 10 days without any of that and could feel the positive effects. As an experiment the other day, I M'd (without going on line) and felt the anxiety and emptiness the next day.

Two days on from that experiment and I'm getting back the positive, confident, focused feeling.

The strange thing is almost all mainstream medical advice stresses how healthy and harmless masturbation is. I think our personal experience says differently, no?

I started my NoFap challenge 9 days back and I have noticed subtle changes too. They might not actually exist but it's good to believe. It's part inception, part placebo effect. When you start something like a NoFap challenge after having read extensively about it, our brain knows what to expect and it goes looking for it. The brain expects subtle changes and knowing what the changes are mimics them. We probably feel more energetic or more focused because of this effect not because our brain has rebooted. That takes time and will surely happen, based on every individual, after his rebooting period.

I've noticed some changes too. I'm more focused and attentive with brain fog not affecting me anymore. I'm full of energy and my acne seems to have reduced to some degree. It's possible all of that was caused by cold showers which I began about three or four days ago. As long as we change, right?

Hey dude, I'm on about day 9 as well and definitely change for the better us good haha. Just keep doing the same thing your doing and see if it continues to work...but I'm also feeling some early positives as well. I have a lot more energy and when I wake up it doesn't take me multiple hours to actually wake up. Now, when I'm up, I'm up and ready to go. That's pretty huge for me, so in gonna keep goin for sure. I'm at the gym at 8:51am right now. I don't normally even wake up til like 1030am, and I barely had to motivate myself to go...that feels pretty good and makes me confident I'm steering myself in the right direction.
