Who are the people that say NoFap is easy and who are the people that say it's stupid waste of time

The people who say it is bs are in my opinion ignorant of their own addiction or too close-minded to comprehend what is happening when they PMO. For some it is easier, but if it is that simple why are they still relapsing and on this website? Listen friend pay no mind to what others are saying, do not become distracted and discouraged, keep your eyes forward and put up your shield, defend against the accusations and desires of the flesh but keep moving forward at the same time, keep the end goal in-sight at all cost.

 

I have never heard someone that has rebooted by doing NoFap that claims it is easy.

It's easy if you aren't addicted. Giving up cigarettes was easy for me cos i never became addicted, just smoked the occasional one or two while out drinking etc. But i would never diminish the achievement of those those with an actual nicotine addiction who managed to defeat it.

Have you tried nofap for longer than a week or two? How easy was it for you?

 

In both cases, it's people with a lack of perspective.

Actually this may be true of people struggling with it, but at least they're trying. What the bs and easy camp have in common is they are likely just projecting their own experience on to everyone else in the population, and it may not even have occurred to them people have a different relationship to PMO just like any number of addictions, some people have a different relationship to alcohol etc. This is really little more than unqualified ignorance and does involve a chance that they do have an addiction themselves. It may not be PMO, but if making these statements, which really isn't anywhere near new involves an addiction to some form of forum or social media addiction or addiction to attention then they may qualify. But of course since that is largely socially acceptable and subtler to grasp they'll ignore the possibility and run around spreading the 'truth' even though it's simplistic rationalization that isn't any kind of informative detailed communication.

Abstaining from PMO can be easy and even enjoyable, if you go right about it. The reason why so many people here are struggling with it is relying solely on willpower and having no strategy. I don't want to undermine anyone's struggle, I just trully believe, that it's possible. On the other hand, saying Nofap is hard and you have to sacrifice a lot and there is a still chance you won't actually succeed, is probably gonna lead to repeated failure and relapses. How can you battle an addiction, you don't believe can be overcame?
