I had a wet dream today... so I guess I'm back to day 1?

  1. There are. They're just not who 90-99% of people are visiting.

Upwards of 100% of mainstream "trained psychologists" would give entirely destructive advice as relates to PMO.

I know the ratio is not 100%, but I understand what you are saying. Use what works from any discipline and discard the refuse. We need to be our own advocates.

  4. Many of you seem to be of the opinion that he's just fine and should carry on doing what he's doing. That's simply not true. There are suggestions on improving one's life, doing other things, and the general gist of the wet dream question is not to get caught up on it.

We don't know what the OP has been doing, that's why people have advised on his thinking, and encouraged other habits. I also offered some ideas of my own on how to reduce the possibility of wet dreams. We're saying to him to carry on with his journey, and if needs to make adjustments, then he can do so, but not to get caught up on a wet dreams as a relapse, because if he works and keeps up doing good things, then he'll reach a point where they may not occur anymore.

When you say that it's observations like "wet dreams are normal" that have kept me and so many others in a hole." It's also the opposite that has kept others from progressing. I've read testimonies from people who've had wet dreams several consecutive nights. If someone posted that now, I think most people would advise them to stick to no PMO, but to look deep into other factors.

Ultimately, it's for the OP to decide how he wishes to proceed physically and mentally. We're merely advisors on his journey.

  5. Thank you my friend. Obviously, you are way ahead in the abstinence journey, and I applaud you for that!

I've created a routine for myself beyond work, and I've just been sticking with that.

Yes, continue to use the tools that have been working, and add to your arsenal as you discover and explore added strategies still.

Most of my wet dreams aren't even accompanied by a dream, I just wake up to find I've ejaculated, if that's a relapse then there's not much hope for me.

After some thought, I'm going to move on and continue to refrain from porn and any form of masturbation. The main goal for me was to stop masturbating so I'm happy with myself for that. I don't want wet dreams to be an excuse so I'll definitely be working on preventing wet dreams as much as I can. Who is the author of the book you mentioned? I would like to have a look.

  9. You have to stay away from stimulation, too. If you get the book, you'll find out why.

It's a very interesting read. It will give you a lot to think about. I hope it's as helpful to you as it is to me.
