One Month Challenge

    I have been away for many years. In-between, I managed to keep things at bay most of the time. Lately, porn has resurfaced and most of my healthy habits had gone through the window.

    I need to refocus and improve my diet, physique.

    S: Abstain from pornography for 30 days initially
    M: Measured by tallying in everyday to the site to journal my feelings and any events
    A: Definitely attainable
    R: I understand I am an addict, and hence I will need to remain in this group
    T: End Date for this goal is Feb 28

    I've reset my counter. I slipped at the last second.

    Feel relatively numb. Thoughts of pornography are quite intrusive. I have to make sure I do not have access again.

    Day 2 - urges wax and wane. I feel a bit down, nothing excessive. I managed to take better care of myself.

    My new value: Treat yourself like you are someone responsible for helping.
    Exercise: Picture me outside of my body, providing motivational support and necessary care.
    Simple things like hygiene and personal care.

    Oddly enough, things that are common (ie perfume) are the things I tend to forget. Need to add better care and pamper myself.

    Phew 2 weeks and still in it. Good. I have had urges wax and wane in the past 2 days. I am happy with the way things have progressed. I have caught myself almost going down the rabbit hole.. I need to remember to take care of myself. The more you do, the more you will crave and things spiral out of control.

    Update: came here to vent. Had a long day. some urges but best not to focus on that. Best to sleep on it.

    Relapsed. Well I’mhappy that I’ve made it even longer now. Dust off and start

    Feeling alright, completing my tasks and staying focused. Did some exercise this morning.

    I’m having a hard time. Will keep a daily schedule journal to stay busy. Not utilizing social media as well.

    Mood: Feeling a bit numb at the moment
    Mind full of multiple thoughts. Slightly stressed
    Focusing on the big picture, will make it!!

    Still going. I will get there. Have to communicate my needs and thoughts with others when needed.
