Porn should not be a choice to Humanity.

This is a real of issue of contention for me. I believe in individual freedom and would never want to censor another human being.

Porn is never going to go away. Even if it was banned, it would be black-market/underground faster than you can blink.

This is your personal battle, however, we are all here to support you.

 

Its easy to say porn should be banned when you hate the addiction. But people must have that choice.

 

There should at least be laws where every porn video should start with an unskippable warning about PIED and other sexual dysfunctions caused by porn.

We have warnings for cigarettes and for alcohol there are warnings to not drive under the influence, so why isn't there anything for porn? something that causes just as much damage.

I amend my statement.

I think we should ban pornography, especially since we ban prostitution. All pornography is, is filmed prostitution.

 

Porn is a choice to humanity because humanity has lost its way.

Male-female dynamics are poor quality, money rules society, masculinity is subdued and shamed, femininity is exalted and exaggerated, sexual urges are hijacked and corrupted, humans are suppressed/oppressed/repressed.....porn indeed should not be a choice. But the individual makes the choice. So, ultimately, it still is our choice. But I agree: not having it at all would make life all the better - not to mention easier.

Porn is like Bacteria and Gram: you can't kill them, they are everywhere, and also co-exist with your body.

So forget about Porn being eradicated.

The only way that would happened, is only if some religious fanatics will conquer every state, than go to every city, and in this city go to every home, and in every home to to every computer and delete porn there.

We shouldn't ban things, it leads to nowhere(check -> US alcohol prohibition in XX century). During porn prohibition illegal, untaxed sources of P would benefit mostly.

Most of people get dragged into this because of no education, no awareness, parents also had no idea. It's a fresh thing, developed in XXI century.

There should be social campaigns and what Peiskos said, at least for biggest P sites, some notifications which they're obligated to run before each video so that people after years of abusion can admit that they knew what they signed for and risk they took. Just like weed addicts. Everyone knows longterm consequences of weed abusion while P addiction is still taboo within society.

I mean, most of us skipped the "this website requires you to be at least 18 years" warning on the first pornsite we visited.

 

Yes but everyone assume it's only because kids shouldn't look at that content because they're too young and check naked people at all. "Why adults can check naked ladies and I can't? Screw that!"

It's a completely different thing if the warning would say that you're going to have health issues once you're older not only you, as a kid, would react different but adults(parents) would also treat it differently if they knew in what danger their kids can get into.

 

Since its has the same effects as cocaine and heroin on the brain which are illegal substances I think you could put a good argument to have if banned.

Sure it will stil be out there somewhere but atleast it wont be so easily accessible to the mass and therfore reduce the negative impact it has our on society. Education is also key and both go hand to hand!
